This, I believe, is my first real tutorial. Forgive any typos, bad grammar, etc. I did my best! I wanted to show how I use markers when I doodle, and I just got some new Copics as an early birthday present from my hubby
Please note that this is just how *I* do it. Other people may find different ways that work better for them. I used Copic Ciao markers, but the same colors are available in Copic Sketch, regular Copics, etc.
I am aware that this is god-awful super-shoujo bubbly fun art. I drew it on purpose!
My only regret is the plushies' skintone; a bit too dark! Oh, well. Enjoy, and feel free to ask any questions.
All art(c)robin edwards. Steal and die.

I get mine online; I believe Akadot Retail sells them (or at least Neo-Piko markers, which are similar).

Wonderful tutorial! I love how all the light seems to shine through with the negative space you left purposely and that you use white out to make white higlights pop! I do this too sometimes.
I agree with Gina, filling in the plushies skintones gives a contrast to the lighter human faces. great piece- lots of details to look at!
When I first looked at this, I thought maybe it was watercolor - it has a very smooth but organic finish.
Also, bubbles and shojo and flowers and pretty fluffy dresses are lovely! <3

Thanks! I treat the markers a lot like watercolor. (I haven't done a watercolor painting in eons, though!) I must do more of these in the future!

I don't think you should worry too much on the doll skin. It helps make them stand apart from the live human skin. ^_^

I've never been SOOPER with Copics, so maybe I'll give it another go with this.

Now that's a very nice tuto. I'll sure use it ><.
That's fun how you use blanco for the white. I use white Sharpies Poster Marker. It's very nice too ^^

Looks like it automatically does fullview because the width is 400pixels. Ah, well!
