Description I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight, and decided to doodle Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka when I got home. While the original film (and the book, of course!) is a classic, I think Tim Burton's version was still pretty magical. Johnny is a different Wonka than Gene Wilder, but hey . . . it's all good. I liked the film I know the color scheme isn't quite correct, and he's a bit out-of-proportion, but I wasn't going for perfection here. Just something different from what I normally draw

it looks like youve mastered your hand at this art form.
This picture was simply wonderful,

I saw the movie on opening night, and it was great. I refuse to say who I liked better as Wonka, as both are very different Wilder and Depp had different portrayals. And this picture looks cool. I can see it as a model for a possible cartoon series about the chocolate factory.

Thanks! We saw the trailer for Corpse Bride before the movie started, so I think I wanted to invoke a little cartoonishness into the image. I agree--it's way too hard to say which Wonka was the better one--two different sides of the same coin.
