I'd like to start off by saying, unless I get a paid commission, I will NEVER do another Death Note fan art.I am not a fan of it, and never have been, and most likely never will be. It's just not my thing. Do not argue with me about its finer points; I will cover my ears and go LALALALALALALAAAA. I'm quite sure I like stuff that you despise, so let's leave it at that and coexist happily, okay?
Anyway, this is me just trying to come up with variety for Otakon. When I announced me plans for a Death Note fan art, my husband was shocked. Something quick and funny isn't so bad . . . . but not on a regular basis. I don't know if this is in Raito/Light/Kira's nature--maybe more of MY nature, because all I ever see of L is a crouching, thumb-chewing kid who likes pie. (Yes, I'm sure there's more to him than that, no comments from the peanut gallery!) . . . . Why DOES he chew on his thumb? Every time I see someone chewing on a finger or their nails (especially loudly) I always want to ask them, 'Are you hungry? Because I can MAKE you a sandwich.' (Yeah, I know, nervous ticks, habits, whatever.)
Ah, lookit me, I'm getting all angry just posting this description. Must be nerves. I think I'll go twiddle my hair. HAR HAR.

L crouches like that because as a child he received many beatings and that is his way of protecting himself, he eats sweets because there is a sort of emptiness in him that won't go away (a void) dont know why he sucks his thumb though...T_T

I don't read/watch Death Note either, but I have to admit that I like L's character design. You want to know what's funny though, In Tokimemo GS2 there is a "special" male character you can unlock named Taku Komori who has that sort of disheveled L look about him, lol. I still need to get that game....sigh...

I used to love Death Note. Back in 2006. When it was just the manga.
Then more people got into the manga. That was fine.
Then the anime came out. It was shit, but I still had the manga, and that was good enough for me.
Then the huge tidal wave of fans came along.
Now, I can barely stomach it. Good idea, good manga, horrible anime, horrible fanbase. It's a shame, because I enjoyed it for about 2 seconds before it was ruined- like everything else good in this world.

Okay, you have to admit, an L-train is kind of FANTASTIC. XD We should gather up all people wearing the same costumes at conventions and make them form trains. The stormtrooper trains would stretch beyond the universe itself.
