Look! It's not Inuyasha! Heh..I thought I would try out some new photoshop tutorials and after looking at this pic I really don't know why I bothered. I don't hate it but I don't like how it came out either. I think I'll just stick with my "Ooo..what's this do?" technique from now on.

Now it's not that bad, did you use the layers? You could always go back and tinker with it again until you like it better. You could try using a small "hair" brushtip on the Burn tool and make the hair look more like individual strands. Then maybe use a slight shadowing on his nose, under his mouth and under the headband. Then shadow the right (our right) side of his face a little since from the shadow on his neck it seems that the light is to our left.

Thanks for the tips! There's still so much about photoshop I don't know.

*snicker* The funny thing is I use Paint Shop Pro 9 and not Photoshop. But there are a lot of things that are the same on both. The basics are the same but PSP is more user friendly (plus less expensive and has Animation Shop) to me. Anytime you have a question just hollar and I might be able to answer it - I've used PS before. Now if I told you to use a "picture tube" you'd be going :confuse: because that's something only PSP has. :wink/razz:

I know what the picture tube is! I used to have that program with Animation Shop and everything but hubby thought photoshop was better so that's what I have on my computer now too. I was doing ok with it (atleast I think so) but I wanted to try some new ways of doing things. Like I said though I think I do better just playing with everything until I get the look I want. I'll bug you next time I get stuck though!

Depending on what you use it for it might be for you but I like to make animated gifs so PSP is better for me. Hey the only way to learn IS to play with the programs. I don't mind being bugged.
