This is a totally amazin image. I love the way its blends down from the beautiful at the top, down to the grim & harrowing at the bottom. A great powerful image that for me kinda shows mother nature desperately trying to fight off the disease of pollution. This is the perfect image to teach our children how important it is to take care of our planet. It saddens me that my daughter and everyone elses children have to grow up in this smoggy shit while big corporate bosses take super high earnings at the cost of the lungs of our planet. Its our planet, for us and our children how dare they get away with this?!? Our governments are blind as bats and live blissfully ignorant because they still live in the 'someone else will fix it' mindset.

got one of these over here not to far away, cept my chimney bigger than yours, that makes a change for a blimmy to offer, against you stateside folks! Always meant to take a picture so you might of provided the insparation, but I'll nwait for a frosty mornig, thats when its at its best. Love the shot.

damn wow! that is a powerful piece. I love how you can actually see the blue sky being obliterated. This should be a promotion shotr for environmentalists. We have factories like that where I live too (oregon) but they are processing plants to turn old growth forests into lumber.

though it had a grey feeling to it at its focal point it was spmewjat t o me, pver ridden by the blue, and well being I know all that "smoke" is nothing more than steam, it just doesn't carry the same enviromental fears with it. It is a fact that power plants pollute about 80% more than cars, but ts not near as obvious as the steam you are seeing, there is good reason countries like France use nuclear power exclusively, the only substanstial byproduct is steam, the tiny amount of nuclear waste is easily disposed, and there is not any air pollution whatsoever, yet we insist on these fossil fuel dinosaurs, and even for that matter a power grid altogether when we have the technology for every emerican or person in the world to generate their own power, hmmm thought provoking, and by the way if not said already this was an excellent picture, I really liked it

That's an excellent shot, though. I love the contrast between the bright blue sky and then suddenly the stark, dim shot of the plant, looking like some dreary image from the early industrial age.
