Description
Had a few hours free and decided to port some of the features from JAVA to Javascript for kicks. Wrote some level generation, rendering and collision handling, you guys are free to use them and change the sprites to whichever. I've got some Websockets setup and functionning so we might see a multiplayer version if I got some time to lose. Obviously, as of now, this prototype is pretty barebone but the foundation is solid for further building if I feel a browser game of the sort could work.Link: s-a-r-c.com/Game.html (Only on Chrome & IE10+)
Known bug:
1) FpsCounter.js - Desync of intFPS if the browser is minimized or closed.
2) CanvasManagement.js - Character will continue moving if browser is minimized or closed while a movement key is held.

I mean, it needs a bit more... Like, for instance, the ability to interact with objects, maybe like causing dialogue to appear, example: "Green liquid? Is it toxic?" or "The door wont open? maybe I can fix that..."
I'm not sure what to exactly write... maybe speed up the walk-cycle? but other than that, its pretty good, the level/characters are very well designed! But also, I suggest putting controls for the people who don't know the standard WASD controls.
Anyway, overall, very good start! I'm very exited to see how this turns out! I expect a lot from you from now on buddy! (Also, if you could note me? I would honestly like to know the story! I'm definitely curious!)

By the way, the 2nd bug can be fixed by re-pressing the movement button that was pushed to cause the glitch

NICE. So awesome to see the concept art turning into a neat game! Seeing this progress is really amazing. Thank you for sharing it! I'd love to see a "run" feature, if that cultist person ever decides to chase our main protagonist...

very cool, me and a few buddies have considered making a game, but we all lack programming skills. you have inspired me to check out javascript as an option. thanks for sharing your creation and I wish you must success with this and your other projects!!!

The game prototype done in Java is much more advanced with combat, proper lightning and basic AI but the version on browser is just one debug zone. I might add the other features If I have time to rewrite the different libraries from Java to Javascript. Alot more easier said than done, the two languages have practically nothing in common.
