amazing!
I don't know in what program you shade, but next time you could try to lower the opacity of the layer to make the shading less black ;U; I do it with colors like blue, red and purple!

i use photoshop elements 8.00
i actually i did it dark on purposly ^^ but i could try it lighter next time :3
i ususallly use red greens blues purple and sometimes browns c:
