you watch as it falls
the drops hit the window
a cold breeze comes through an open door
you stare into the sky
sitting eagerly, hoping it will never stop
lightning cracks
and thunder roars
chills run down your spine
clouds look down upon the earth
dropping rain hits the ground
little impressions left in the dirt
puddles gather
walking outside
the rain hits your head
you smile
happy
the cold air nips at your nose
taking in every breath
slow and concentrated
you let your self become enveloped
the sweet scent of the rain
and the freezing bite of every drop of water
your body soaking
you feel whole
