Description This idea came to me after watching Road to the Multiverse, a Brian and Stewie Griffin episode.
I'm not too pleased with the idea now that it's on paper, and it's a pretty weak comic... but I have to admit I love the expressions.
This is a collab with who is a friend of mine in RL, I asked her to draw Shego walking down the street because I thought it'd be a good idea to have the other universe to be drawn by someone else. To really get across the point across that the universes are separateΒ
Methinks Shego is jealous...
And for those who don't know, nosebleed=arousal in the anime community.
Who knows, maybe Drakken spontaneously was infected by the anime virus while dimension surfing. Or maybe it's just really dry up there in that Alpine lair xD
And I managed to get a back view, side view and full body of Drakken and Shego all on the same page! Ohhh I'm kinda proud of that ^^

your friend made her look very kawaii. Will you have more shego anime style?

probably not, you'll have to hit her up if you want her to draw more anime Shego art. But seriously, she's in college and stuff so she literally has no time. *I* on the other hand may be in college but I procrastinate so much so you can at least expect more art from me

As longs as there is more Shego or Shego and Drakken I'm happy. All the best with your studies.

Haha, this is pretty nice. xD

I've personally never seen Dr. D as the type to get easily... 'excited', but you've done an excellent job with his expression there.

S-M-Batty In reply to Sethghaar [2014-08-19 22:24:48 +0000 UTC]

He's not even sure what's going on with him. While I don't make him a virgin in my stories I'd like to think he's a little rusty even prudish at times.

Sethghaar In reply to S-M-Batty [2014-08-19 22:48:27 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, to me it's not so important if he's a virgin or not. I just tend to see him as being too focused on other things to be very sexually driven. I also enjoy how close you keep him to canon in how he behaves and such. A lot of people like to make him out to be more mushy/saccharine and such than he is in the show.

Indeed! I hate it when characters are OOC.
To me he isn't a virgin partly because I read a hilarious theory that Ron is his son. It kind of makes sense to me... They have big ears, the same kind of chin, susceptible to turning blue when evil...
Yeahhh honestly I don't really like the comic. It isn't as funny as I thought and the idea's actually kinda weak. But I DO love those expressions

Well there aren't too many pieces of fan art out there which explore the idea of alternate realities, so it's certainly nice to see in that aspect.

For more multiverses, I recommend the writings ofΒ  sci-fi/fantasy author Michael Moorcock, who was among the pioneers when it comes to popularizing the phrase.

Some of his stuff is excellent, his romantic stories in particular.

Here's the author's homepage:
www.multiverse.org/

He can get a bit preachy when it comes to anarchist politics, though.
I prefer to read his books rather than dabble in ideologies.

Trivia: Wendy Pini (of Elfquest fame) started working on an animated film in her youth, based on Moorcock's "Elric Saga".

Recommended reading:
The Elric of MelnibonΓ©-books. (His first works and very influential on modern fantasy)
The Corum-books (fantasy with Celtic influences)
Dancers at the end of time (romantic comedy, slightly naughty but hilarious).
Chronicles of The Runestaff. (Sci-fi/fantasy. The Empire of Granbretan being very stylish, insane villains to say the least.)
A Nomad of the Time Streams (sci-fi/time travel. Might or might not be a tie-in with Edith nesbit's books, depending on how you choose to interpret the main character)

Haha, I've been reading since I was 4 and reading sci-fi and fantasy since I was 8. That's 40 years or reading in total, so far.
I'm bound to pick up some bad habits and favourite authors along the way.

Well... MY favorite sci-fi series is Ender's Game, too bad Orson Scott Card is against a lot of the stuff I'm for... which is why my sister refuses to read his books anyways. Too bad I was hooked after the fact.

I haven't read the book but I found the film extremely unimpressive.

Bluh, read the book, it is much more amazing then the movie. The movie got a bunch of stuff wrong.

Yes exactly! Although I must admit, Hunger Games catching fire and all the Wimpy Kid movies were very close to the book.
The movie that was least close to the book was Percy Jackson. Like seriously they didn't even have the Oracle in the first movie. The Oracle that tells the prophecy that impacts every book afterwards

Allegedly, The Princess Bride is one of the few examples of the film being better than the book.
I haven't read the book, though.

I never read the book either but I really did like the movie. Although when I first watched it I was so young so the scene where he got bit by that giant rat and had his soul sucked out really scared me

Yeah, it was morbid but cool.

Speaking of scary, have you seen "The Haunting of Hill House" from 1963?
There's one hell of a scary film. Even to this day, I'm not comfortable with watching it alone.
The remake...total crap.

S-M-Batty In reply to Scumdog47 [2014-08-21 09:38:38 +0000 UTC]

Oh no no no no no. I don't do scary movies. The popping out, the ugly sickening ideas, the abusiveness towards women (seriously I think women get killed more in scary movies or at the very least is usually the first to go cuz OF COOOOOURSE all women are stupid and damsels in distress)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Scumdog47 In reply to S-M-Batty [2014-08-21 10:00:56 +0000 UTC]

This movie has no blood and gore. It is based on the book by the same name, by Shirley Jackson.
It is partly based on her own problems with severe agoraphobia and alienation.

And you never see the ghost, you only hear it. Although it does push against a door in a single scene.
Makes it even scarier. And it's not even certain there is a ghost, it could be the main character imagining it during her slide into madness and the other characters just getting worked up and imaginit things as well.

It's extremely well made, and monochrome too.

Although you are right, in most so-called horror films women and black guys are among the first to go.

And I do hate the jump-scares. It's a cheap and unimaginative trick.
Yeah, yeah, we know, the scary critter jumps out of the wardrobe, accompanied by a loud honk from the brass section. Woo, impressive film making...NOT!

Oh and all the heavy bass drones that saturate soundtracks in horror films. I mean, it's "old hat" by now.

There is a film called The Cabin in the Woods, by Joss Whedon and Drew GoddardΒ  that explains why all the clichΓ©s are the way they are. A bit of a tongue-in-cheek twist to it, to say the least.

DiMaggio also made a really unsettling Joker in "Under the Red Hood".
He's an excellent voice actor.
