Some physics toy.You can drag around everything.
It stays in place until you click it, then the physics come in and it falls, but thats only that single piece.

Nifty. Have you seen Constellation? [link] It's somewhat similar. Maybe you could get some ideas from it.
One thing you might try is adding several constraints between nodes to keep them separate, or maybe some sort of repulsion force, because after a while they all settle into the same spot.
