I tried making one and followed every single step, but when I test it out, the player like spazzes out, jumps up and down through the ground and such even when I'm not controlling it.
Help?

You need AS 3.0.
Follow.EVERY.SINGLE.STEP.
The order of inside the PLAYER movie clip must be exactly like in the tutorial in order to move.

i want to make a megaman-like game (jump and shoot style) but i'm having troble with the shoot part, how can i make the shoot be shot when we press spacebar?

Oh, and where it says "put a instance name of player", It actually says "payer" in the shot.

Yeah, to revert back from the begenning to the vCam, Go all the way to the, the, the, i mean, the part where it says make a instance name for the player.
No, don't go forward. go back fast. when you get near the water start jumping (Holding W), and you might get up the left wall like a rocket blazer. now you will go through the upper ceiling (Sorry for wrong spelling). You will reach a secret hidden egg area. Yeah. you will go back to the beggening if you fall right. don't do what the text says. do the same rocket-blazer trick (It's easier to do it here) and go left. So, now, go the the edge. now let's make some discussion-- just fall. now, while you are falling stick to the left wall (Hold D). Now, you will go pretty much near the coin and vcam part. you can also rewind parts with the rocket-blazer trick. maybe, only if rocket-blazer is a word

I can't get the score to work. I can get the coins to disappear but the score remains at zero. I am also slightly confused on what to do with the dynamic text. Do I type "score=0" into the text box on stage or somewhere else? Also, does the code for the score go onto the coin? Because that didn't work.

Noooooooo, make a static text saying "Score:" if you want. now make a dynamic text, And look for a text box saying "Var:" in the properties panel. type "score" in it. Now at the very first frame at the preloader, or menu, add this code: "score = 0;" (No quotes).
It might work.

Easter Egg:
First, at the really beginning, go to the left wall, first go away to the player tut, now go back to the beginning way. now without stopping get in to the right wall, collect the coin and press up exactly when you reach the wall, hold up and you will fly like a rocket and when you hit the wall at the awesomely very top, It says "I see you have found my glitch! Yes, this isn't the best, but hey, It's better than some! Now about a way down. jump right. Left falls forever (Not really) O_O", "Also, this is an Easter egg! Congratz on finding!", and a egg-in-a-egg: Do the same on the left wall in the egg, now jump fast on the top of the text, now jump. You will see some text saying "LOL! You can walk on the text! Now get down! >".

I mean my own game I'm making. It's a sonic game, and when i put ground that's diagonal, my player doesn't stay on the ground. I run over the ground and fall. An when I go up the diagonal ground, I have to jump to get over it.

on (release) {
gotoAndStop(FRAME);
}
for the button,
and
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this.hitTest(_root.PLAYERINSTANCE)) {
_root.gotoAndPlay(FRAME);
}
}
for the door.
replace the PLAYERINSTANCE to your player instance, player in the tut, the FRAME to the desired number of the frame you want the door or the button to take you to.
