Description
Mai and Shu. Pilaf's two henchmen. When they were first introduced, Mai actually seemed like she might be rather competent. That quickly faded away, and she ends up as dumb as the rest of the trio.
I first started watching DBZ before DB, and when I first saw Mai, I thought she was Chi-Chi. I thought she would become a good person like most villains and marry Goku. I was way off.
Shu is a dog-man dressed as a ninja.
Both can pilot the machines used by Pilaf in his quest to conquer Earth.
Mai and Shu. Apparently the best help money can buy.

Yeah, Chichi is pretty harsh and hard to get along with. Mai seems like she'd be a little more easy going. Or at least she'd be more helpful and supportive of her family trying to be the strongest in the universe.

Sure. Are you thinking about grown-up Goku and Mai as a couple, or maybe one with kid Goku and her fighting?

Yeah, most of the characters from Dragonball were named after food.

The Japanese name for the Chinese character Son Wukong in "Journey to the West."
But all the Saiyans, the Ginyu Force are named after food.
Gohan means rice, Pan means bread, Krillin means chestnut.

Well, that was before any other villains were introduced so I guess there wasn't much help to be bought. Then again, see as every bad guy who shows up betrays who ever thy're working for, Pilaf problely made the right choise!
Well done, they look just like they did in the anime! The colors could use little bit of work though.
I don't know about Mai being as bad the other two, compared to Shu (and indeed, Pilaf himself) she was fairly competent.

That's a good point about the betrayal-angle. Pilaf was betrayed by Demon King Piccolo after unsealing him.
I guess I should have said Mai got sillier as things went on. She started out pretty serious, but by the Piccolo Saga, she was as goofy as the other two.
As for the colors, my drawings are based on the black and white manga, so I use that as an excuse to use whatever colors I like.
Thanks for the fav and the comments.

Your welcome!
Yes it happend alot. King Piccolo started the trend. Or was it Tien and Chotzu turning good and betraying Shen the first time? Oh well, it happened alot after that. With every new villain I think...
True, she was more serios at first but became more and more of comec releif character, which the entire trio eventuly turned into. She still did a good job none the less. But by the time Piccolo came around they realy weren't that much of a threat.
Sure, the mangas black and white like I haven't heared that one before... ok I haven't I still a good pic though!

Well, like they say, no honor among thieves. Or killers with god-level power. You know, whichever fits.
Yeah, the "betray your master" thing happened almost as often as "the bad guy turning good."

Hmm, yes many indepentdent streaks and changes of heart. You had to find some one who was equal pathetic and at the same time very evil, and Mai and Shu were pretty much the only people who fit that desciption.(who didn't have there own thing going on, like Boss Rabbit)
Ofcorse most of "the bad guy turning good" didn't have any thing better to do, and usualy suffered from "master betraying underling" or the fear of it happening.
