To be honest, of all those here who have watches the movie, I was the most emotionally hit. So yeah here comes a wall of text.
Earlier this year, news of my maternal grandmother's death strike my entire family like a bullet out of nowhere. For more than a decade, she didn't have Alzheimer's like Miguel's great grandmother, but Parkinson's, just as serious.
For a while I don't really paid much attention about her, as she lives aboard, even when her death came.
When I went to see the movie last week, there's just no other film that could hit such levels of emotions as Coco. It really got me thinking about what happens to one in the afterlife after they die. What if no one in the real world remembers you, and you also die in the afterlife?
This message is further moved into me with my paternal grandfather, who just got diagnosed with Alzheimer's. With a disease like Alzheimer's, I can't imagine what has happened to his ancestors before him in the afterlife.
My mum also sobed during the film, and she just come to me and ask me when we got home "What if you forget me. What if maybe only you remember me, and when you forgotten me I will disappear forever on the afterlife?".
I personally think that this film conveys a very powerful message to those who have lost someone recently. Coco in a way convince people that there may be some afterlife after we die, but if one's existence were to be preserved there, he or she needs friends and people who care about him or her.
Who knows? What are the odds of us being remembered when we went to the afterlife somewhere in the future.
Anyways Coco is actually a masterpiece even for a Pixar film, YOU DEFINITELY MUST WATCH IT! But I gotta remind you about that Frozen short thing everyone on the internet is raging about, you probably gonna have to sit through that short before the film begins.
As for the artwork, it's very nice as always. Lots of colours like the film itself, though I personally think it could be better if you could include Hector or some backgrounds in it.

I have actually heard a lot of good things about this movie. I was worried when I saw the trailer that it was going to be the same old thing, but from what I've heard- it was really good. I'm going to put it on my list of movies to watch for this year, alongside Thor: Ragnarok, The Disaster Artist, and Darkest Hour.
Also *hugs* It's okay to cry, just make sure you got a boat to sail the ocean of tears though!
