My OCs Zigzag and Mikan.If you wonder what have been my inspiration sources for them, I decided to list the people and things that inspired me:
Zigzag (ability: teleportation):
- The biggest inspiration was actually =AntiImage s OC Scherz [link] because basically Zigzag was just made to fight him and so I tried to invent a character that is the absolute opposite of Scherz.
- Zigzag was actually meant to live and work in a circus, that's why he can move like an acrobat.
I love the circus and always wanted to make a comic with it, but it just didn't go that way.
- But that leads to the next inspiration, Clopin (the jester) from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. My absolute favorite Disney character. I always loved the way he moves and jumps around.
- Another source of inspiration was Masaru Yada. A character from the anime Ojamajo Doremi.
I always loved his chilled personality; always hands in the pockets and he gave a DAMN about other people.
- Zigzag's ability was inspired by the movie Jumper and by the fact that teleportation is FREAKIN' AWESOME!!
- He got his name from a book called Holes. It was the first book that I read in English. I read it when I was in the 7th grade or so and there was a boy who's nickname was Zigzag and this name stucked in my mind forever.
- Last but not least: Yo and Len from Shaman King. Both are very interesting characters that inspire me.
Mikan (ability: predictions):
- Murdock from the new A- Team Movie was definitely one of the people that inspired me for Mikan, (tho it might not be that obvious.) He's a lovely freak.
- Then Mika, a pop singer. Secretly, my absolute favorite singer. I'm a huuuuge fan of him and his songs. What inspired me the most is the fact that Mika is a multi-talent. Beside singing and songwriting, he can also speak a lot of languages, draw, act etc. He's a person I absolutely respect and adore.
- You might think I got Mikan's name from him too but it's actually from the protagonist of the manga Alice Academy. A lil girl called Mikan. Her name means "Mandarin" and I thought it kinda fits to Mikan's mandarin-colored skin.
- I hadn't got a specific inspiration for Mikan's ability; I just thought it would be pretty funny to have a looney and childish character that actually has such a powerful and significant ability.
- He also got some attributes from Luffy from One Piece. Loud, happy, active.
- My bro was actually my inspiration for Mikan's hair (I didn't tell him yet, lol).
Not that his hair is blue, but curly.- and Wooldoor Sockbat.
I dunno. I just love him. (I like Drawn Together, ok?! Leave me alone!)That's basically it.
I like the fact that many different things and people from every part of your life inspire you for a single character.
That's at least what happened to me. C:

Mikan would be...well mika of course, evelyn would come in the video at the part where it says "Take a look at the girl next door, she's a player and a downright bore.." And Zigzag would appear maybe when it says "I went walking with my momma one day,when she warned me what people say" and it could take place in an allyway or something x3 "Live your life until love is found" is where gerry should appear :3 He should be like cooking lmao.
It should be about Mikan trying to find a girl lmao, but then realizing he doesn't need one. "Never stood on my own two feet, now I'm blue as I can be, Oh, love only got me down." <- Perfect for Mikan 
SO MUCH WRITING. I'M SORRY. I got a little carried away x3 Of course, since you said it didn't go too well when you did it earlier.. it was just a cool idea that randomly popped into my head . But you should totally do some sort of music video with your OC's one time 8DDD

Yeah I thought it would fit well to my ocs, but at "Take a look at the girl next door, she's a player and a downright bore.." I thought to put my cartoonself in there, being annoyed about the fact what Mikan calls her. xD
Well ill see if I can do this someday. Atm I'm working on an animation for Zig and on one for Mikan, also featuring a Mika song.

No problem XD I'm glad it helped. I just thought of it as an easier way to make something with music involved. If you don't know what to animate for 2 min, you can just edit it/shorten and make it flow to make it sound good. That's what I did for that Daft Punk flash, I pretty much cut out almost half the song in the middle part, and then stuck the ending part after. Oh god, that would be funny too!!

I kinda guessed Mikan was inspired by Mika, mainly because once you said you were a fan of him as well as the line from Grace Kelly "I can be blue, I can be green and I forgot the other line da da da". XD
But there again, ZigZag wears blue and green as well.
Haha, I remember having to read Holes in year 5 and we watched the movie ((even though I saw it years before)) They were both quite good. :>
I get inspired by songs and history mostly, mainly for ideas... but I am not good at making a character or a world or really drawing for that matter.
Though I try, but it's usually in vain, that is why I mostly draw sketches but I haven't done many lately because something is not right with my hand and I can't concentrate.
And now I am talking too much. XD
Also, I just realised that Mikans watch looks like a pendulum or a magicians watch.

Yeah, theres something not right with it and parts of my right arm.
I have no idea whats wrong with it but I think I may have hurt like a nerve or something, my hand twitches a lot and both my hand and my arm become very very numb and that makes it hard to draw.
Anyway, I'm going to the doctor soon so I think I might get him to check it out.
In other news, I have learnt more German but I am still terrible at it. XD
BUT NOW I KNOW THE DAYS OF THE WEEK!
