Like many viewers, I was honestly disappointed with Escapism. It wasn't because of the song, it was because of the fact that Peridot and Lapis didn't appear alongside Bismuth. I was hoping that they would have regenerated by this time. Well, the least I can do now is hope that they will appear in the upcoming one-hour special. Exactly! Especially considering that Lapis officially joined the Crystal Gems despite everything she's been through.
I really want Peridot and Lapis to appear because the writers don't seem to have the two of them take part in the activities the Crystal Gems have. They didn't appear drinking coffee/tea in "Three Gems and Baby", They didn't appear in the investigation for Aquamarine in "Are you my Dad?", Peridot apparently didn't appear in "Gem Vacation" and she even didn't appear in the revelation of Pink Diamond.
Hence why "Gem Harvest" is my favorite episode so far. Not only was that Pumpkin's first appearance, but ALL the gems spent time together genuinely.

I agree on all points, the crew should really give more space to them, and actually make them feel as part of the group.
I hope that they are just saving them for the next seasons, so that they have fresh arc materials
