Description Finally done!! My drawing of Michelangelo's Pieta. Done with 4h - 4b pencils. Some mechanical pencils (.3, .5, and 2mm lead) Q-tips and blending stumps. Total time... 25 - 30 hours

Wonderful work...saw this statue when I went to Rome and it really is beautifully carved. I think Michaelangelo was in his early twenties when he did this....beggars belief. Anyway, superb artwork. Just one thing...how did you manage to get the background so dark. Was this done digitally? It's just that I know how shiny pencil gets with those deep blacks. Well done again...keep it coming.

This is stupendous! I just sat and looked and looked at it, it's so beautifully done. All those folds of cloth, wow. And it really does look like a statue. Absolutely marvelous work.
