Primadonna's horse and "the last dragon on earth" are my favorite less seen side characters from the Moomin series. Mainly because their designs are so nice to look at, ha.--
Pigment liners, watercolor, gouache and a few edits in Photoshop Elements.

Nuo kummatkin ovat Tove Janssonin luomia alun perin ja se lohikäärme esiintyy yhdessä kirjassa, kun tutustuin Muumeihin v. 2013, (olen syntynyt 1994) huomasin että ne mediat ovat kirjallisuuden lähteitä ja niistä on tehty medioita mitkä perustuu kirjoihin, mutta ne ovat muokattuja, osat episodeista perustuvat kirjoihin ja osat sarjakuviin, ja jotkut taas ovat japanilaisten keksimiä episodeja. Yleensä esim. elokuvat, ne mitkä perustuvat kirjailijoiten tekemiin teoksiin, ne ovat muokattuja ja hiukan erilaisia tyyliä, kuten muutamia esimerkkejä ovat muut kirjailijat Astrid Lindgren, J. K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, J. M. Barrie ja tietenkin myös ne Grimmin veljesten kerätyt sadut.

Does the series that you and your mom watch look somewhat like this ? I believe that's the Polish version of The Moomins, but I'm not sure, haha! Anyway, I haven't watched that one myself. This one here is more familiar to me!

i haven't managed to watch many moomin episodes as a child but the dragon one was the one i managed to tape on a vhs, so i rewatched it numerous times lmao
beautiful work, the horse looks absolutely precious as well!
i should watch the whole series at some point

Also I can relate to that, the Moomins didn't really catch my eye as a child either. For some reason I only cared about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Biker Mice from Mars -kind of stuff, haha! Later on I got more tolerant, but the Moomins caught my interest only a few years ago. I was surprised by how amusing and lovable the characters are.

the moomins did catch my eye as a kid, but i didn't catch them on the tv often xD
i love animation that looks like illustration (like the hobbit 1977 and the last unicorn), i loved it since i was little, and if i remember correctly, the moomins do have that feel to it, right? c:

I agree, classic illustration-like animation is my favourite to look at, i'm not a big fan of cgi
