I need to figure out a better way to photograph glass...anyone know any tricks? I should probably get some better paper but this is what I had on hand.

I plan on making more so if you want some let me know and we'll discuss price.

**EDIT** oh yeah, just so there's no confusion it's one glass

Wow, how do you do that?

you make a pattern and cut it out of contact paper then put it on the glass and glob etching cream onto it then wait about 15 minutes and viola!

it's bitch to cut out, even with a exacto knife

Well well well, isn't that interesting? Etching cream. I've never even heard of it before. We've gotten lazy in our modern days with all these cool inventions, haven't we? That sounds a lot easier than what I was trying to picture.

Except of course for the hell that is cutting contact paper. Even just for some fairly simple screen printing I'd done on t-shirts it was a major pain to cut and then get it looking normal when I had to fit in the loose pieces. So, I think I can understand - except that this had to be so much worse since it's smaller and more detailed.

yeahhh....it's horrible. but much better this time around. I've actually started etching again because David got gun-hoe about selling the etching online. we talk about stuff and came up with a better system.

now I make a stencil out of this plastic sheeting we found so I only have to create the image once. AND he's doing some things which means I don't have to do everything. AND we got heavy duty exacto knifes from the hardware department instead of the artsy ones and they work A LOT better.

thanks ^^

my issue is that when I use the flash the design is clearer but it creates that huge white stripe. without the flash is pretty but slightly fuzzy...I really need a tripod. it's not a big deal.
