UPDATE - 01/31/19:- Fixed an issue with the normal maps being inverted.
UPDATE - 01/30/19:
- Made the model compatible with motion and pose data. (It kinda was before, but not really.)
- Touched up the rigging near the shoulders and waist.
- Added effect files for normal mapping.
UPDATE - 01/20/18:
- Fixed a few minor things and changed the preview picture.
The adventurous treasure tracker (and one of my favorite Mario characters). Captain Toad is rigged and works with motion and pose data. He has several facial morphs and his lamp works with AutoLuminous.
This model comes with .fx files that can be used with MME to activate normal mapping on the model, as shown above. For more information, please see the included help file found in the model's folder.
This model is only for use with MikuMikuDance (MMD).
The original model was ripped from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker by Random Talking Bush. I did the conversion work for the MMD version as well as some additional rigging.
Super Mario and all related characters, settings, objects, etc. belong to Nintendo.
The download can be found on the right under "Add to Favorites" while using a web browser. You may not be able to see the download link while using the DeviantArt mobile app.

It sounds like a good idea. It's a fun game and I think it deserves more coverage.
Honestly, the Wii U wasn't the best console, so hopefully it performs better on the Switch.

I don't like how you have to use the joy-con to move the blocks and stuff (not saying I've played it myself)

Yeah, it doesn't work as well as it did with the Wii U's touch screen, though it's not bad once you get used to it. It's a pretty fun game on its own, though. It's likely a little better on the 3DS.

I've tried the demo for 3DS, and it does work pretty similar to the Wii U.

I'd say Captain Toad is an overall good game. It could stand to be a bit longer with more variety in the boss battles, but I think it's worth the price.
