Nico's nutrition had been lacking, thanks to his time spent captive by giants.

Ribs stuck out under baggy black shirts, draped over by his jacket that smelled of him.

Pale hands shoved into his pockets, he leaned against your chest, head falling back to rest on your shoulder.

You wrapped your arms around his small waist and beamed. "This is like that scene from Titanic!" you remarked. You gazed at the water below, over the edge of the railing. It sloshed against the moving Argo II, rocking the boat in motions that Hazel's stomach couldn't handle.

Nico shot a look at you over his shoulder, dark eyes confused. "What?"

"You're the Rose to my Jack, and I'll never let you go!" You pecked his nose.

Nico's pale, sickly face turned pink and he snapped his head forward again, to face away from you and your affection. "Cheesy," he scoffed.

"But you love it."

You rested your head on top of his, the cold wind blowing through you. His black locks were flat and limp from malnutrition, and you constantly felt the need to protect him and keep him safe, which was a hard thing to ensure when you were both demi-god's. Especially on a quest like this.

His small body radiated no warmth, so you kissed his temple and began tugging him inside.

"Come on, let's go in."

"But we just got out of that stuffy room." Nico cocked a brow.

"S'cold."

"Not really."

"You're freezing," you observed, cupping his ears to feel their coolness before taking his hands in yours. His slim fingers were cold; as was his nose when you pecked it. The tips of his ears and nose were turning red, which made you nervous because you worried that he would catch a cold.

"So that's what this is about? Pathetic little me can't handle the wind?" Nico snapped.

"No, idiot." You came closer to him and dug your hands into his pockets. You laced your fingers with his. "I'm just worried is all."

The blush returned to Nico's cheeks. "Stop being so cute, or by the Gods I'll hit you."

"What? You wanna spank me? But we're in public!" you fake gasped, pressing your forehead against his flushed one.

Nico avoided your gaze.

He was so precious and fit in your arms perfectly.

"U-um," a voice stammered. "I think I'll, uh, come back later."

You easily recognized the voice. "No, you're fine. What's up Frank?"

"Hazel wanted me to get Nico and you. We're starting dinner now, but I can tell her to leave your plates in the microwave."

You pulled away from Nico's forehead, leaving him feeling absent and cold. "No worries! Nico can save my spanking for later. Let's eat!"

"You have no shame," Nico seethed, as you led him inside.

Frank followed at a distance, afraid that Nico would notice the grin he wasn't hiding very well. Seeing the quite and dark boy so flustered and embarrassed was hilarious. But he had to admit, your relationship was adorable.

You grinned coyly. "Are you gonna discipline me? Have I been a bad boy?"

"Shut the Hades up!" Nico swore, his entire face having turned red as all eyes landed on him and you.

Hazel laughed. "Aw, (Male name), are you teasing Nico again?"

"Never!" you gasped.

"That was good," you sighed and sat back in your chair. "I need a food nap now."

"Pig," Nico frowned. He wasn't really disgusted, but openly admitting his love for you, another guy, was embarrassing for him to do. Never mind in public.

"I'm your pig," you corrected, sending him an air kiss followed by a wink.

"I'm getting a toothache from the cuteness overload," Leo frowned.

"Tell me about it," Piper nodded.

Nico huffed and crossed his thin arms.

You draped your arm over the back of his chair, feeling strange without him next to you. You had grown accustomed to Nico's body fitting perfectly against yours; so eating meals sitting in separate chairs was like eating without a part of yourself. But now that dinner was over, you were free to have Nico by your side again, where he belonged and fit snugly.

His dark hair tickled your arm as he moved in his chair; either ignoring the arm obviously draped over his chair by talking to Hazel or taking a sip from his glass.

Nico crossed his legs at the ankle, worn runners making a sharp noise on the floor.

His ring glinted as the light reflected off it.

"Anyone wanna play a video game?" Frank wondered.

"Oh yeah!" Leo threw his fist in the air, springing from his chair like a coiled spring. "I'm so gonna kick ass!"

"You don't even know what game it is yet," Frank pointed out.

"Who cares? Mario Kart or Slenderman or Pokemon; doesn't matter. I'm Leo Valdez." He polished his nails on his oily shirt. "And not to brag, but I can't loose. I'm awesome like that."

"Slenderman?" Franks brows drew together. "I've never heard of it."

Leo grinned eerily and bounded up to Frank, linking his arm through his. "Then come, child. You have much to learn." His laugh was unsettling as he led Frank to the computer.

Hazel groaned. "But I wanted to spend time with him! Leo, bring him back!" She chased after the two boys, leaving you and Nico alone at the dining table.

"So... We're alone." You wiggled your eyebrows at your boyfriend. "Wanna get kinky with some kitchen utensils? I mean, how many people can say their boyfriend sporked them. Literally. Or forked, whatever your into, baby." You winked at the uncomfortable son of Hades.

Nico scowled at you. "Is that all you ever think about?"

"No," you said, edging your chair closer to him and moving your arm from the back of his chair to drape it over his slim shoulders.

Nico eyed you warily.

You sighed and knocked your head against his gently. "I just like messing with you; 'cause you're just beyond cute when you're embarrassed."

"No I'm not."

"Yes you are! And your lower lip juts out and you look up at me through those dark lashes and you go all red. You're the definition of cute, Nico."

"No I'm not," the boy defended, fiddling with the ends of his black shirt. "I'm the King of Ghosts," he muttered, "The definition of darkness. Not cuteness."

You rested a hand on top of his, his ring as cold as the rest of his hands. Bringing his hand up to your lips, you laid kisses on each of his thin, needle-like fingers.

"You're cute to me, and always will be. You're adorable too," you added, just to annoy him.

He gritted his teeth and snatched his hand back, angrily melting against your side and nuzzling his face in your neck. "Shut up before I make you."

"Am I finally gonna get my spanking?"

"Maybe," he muttered into your shirt, sounding muffled.

A grin stretched across your face. That was the first time he ever flirted back with you, despite the fact he was your boyfriend.

"Is it wrong that I'm excited right now?" you wondered.

"Yeah. I won't go easy on you."

You bit back a squeal and cuddled him. "So cute!"

"No I'm not!"
