I always was curious about it myself. If it was because it was Lego took exception to M-rated game characters getting the LEGO treatment, why were things like Fallout, Assassin's Creed, and Halo left untouched? And if it was Bioware that was unhappy, why were the KotoR, Baldur's Gate, and Jade Empire decals spared? I just never could figure it out.
Lucky me, I got most of the decals and custom Minifigures before they were removed.

i collected a bunch of legos parts, got some decal paper, just struggling now to draw out the images to print myself.
if you are using photoshop, do you have any recommendations on pen size?

If you're using Photoshop, be sure to make the images high resolution for printing. You should probably use a pretty large brush size - tiny details won't show up when printed unless you have a very good printer. I design all of my decals in a vector-art program called Corel Draw, and print them on an HP DesignJet. Hope this helps.
