Hello all again! So I was thinking of Undertale again and something occurred to me while watching a video called "The True Villain of Undertale" What if Frisk is the reincarnation of Chara?

I think since Asriel survived the death, than so did Chara. I believe Chara's soul entered a cycle of rebirth much like many cultures would believe in. It would explain why they use the term "reborn" at the end of a genocide run. Additionally, many Asian cultures believe in rebirth cycles, which would explain Frisk, albeit racist, sprite looking the way it does. (The most racist way to describe an Asian person is: Squinty eyes, yellow skin, really short, and buck teeth. That's three of the four listed present in their sprite.)

This also explains the prophecy in the Waterfall caverns. They make mention of an angel returning from the service to make the Underground go empty. People constantly say this has to be Asriel because he "Is the only one to go to the surface and return before breaking the barrier." I don't believe this because A. by that logic, Asriel didn't either. The "God of Hyper Death" did and B. If Asriel did, then so did Chara because they became one and the same.

I think Chara's soul was who the prophecy was about. When doing a pacifist play through, you break the barrier and set all the monsters free. If we believe you are Chara reborn, then the prophecy is true. It would further explain Chara appearing and Frisk disappearing during the Genocide ending and talking about how the player spurred them forward.

We also know that, if searched for thoroughly, you can discover Toriel giving Chara a proper burial because she didn't want them sitting in that coffin in the palace. It would also explain why we start out with "bandages" and find bandages in Chara's coffin. Finally, I've been lead to believe Chara and Frisk had the same colored soul. The red soul isn't present anywhere in the game, aside from our soul. Oh, that and the fact that every other colored soul has items to go with it and yet, the only weapon associated with Chara is the knife. Just like the one we found early on in the ruins... OH! One more thing, why does Asriel confuse us for Chara then?

To Recap:
Chara and Frisk have the same colored soul. Asriel mistakes us for Chara, the bandages being present in Chara's coffin also being present on us too.  The only weapon associated with Chara being the first you discover and the fact that, Chara says they were reborn and "realized" their "purpose" was to commit genocide. The prophecy would come true in either unique ending. Genocide, the Underground goes empty because we destroy the world. In the pacifist it goes empty because we save everyone. In neutral, we'd just be added to the soul collection.

I could be wrong though; however, I think there are too many coincidences for it to not be true.

What do you think?

DA is not a place to post art you did not make. It takes views and favs from the original artist and can get your account banned. If you like someone's work, put it in a journal so that it links to the original.

Crediting them is better, but just to be safe I would ask permission to post their work on your page. The better option is to make a journal to show off the artwork. That way, you can add your commentary underneath and clicking the art itself will link to the original.

Did not know that at all... Thanks for telling me, I'll fix it. I joined Deviantart a long time ago, but never actually used it until recently. So the advice is appreciated.
