Description The rauisuchian that made mincemeat out of the dinosaurs of the Petrified Forest. Postosuchus was large, powerful and easily able to kill whatever prey came its way, such as Placerias, aetosaurs like Desmatosuchus, and even prosauropods. Like its distant dinosaur cousins, it is likely Postosuchus was bipedal or at least a fulcative biped that could switch from four legs to two when it needed to gain on its intended victims or battle rivals.Β

So much for WWD's idea that dinosaurs took over in the Triassic.

well, they did at the end because they were more adaptable. it wash't because they were stronger or faster or smarter.

Not even that. There was a Triassic mass extinction that killed most of the large animals.

well, yes, but the dinosaurs were more adaptable in response to said event.

In my opinion, it was able to move bipedal and quadrepedal.

that makes sense in areas like the Petrified Forest.

I think that would work in such an environment as the petrified forest.

it was certainly nasty, though nowhere near as vicious as Fasolasuchus.
