Description
The orcs of Kairegorn are as terrifying in their armor as they are in their culture. Everything they make is meant to intimidate their enemies and make them feel superior to their foes. Even their helmets are built to strike fear into their enemies. More than this, the orcs of the Dark Corps separate their army into divisions and castes. Each one is possessed of different orcs that specialize in different talents. To mark their legions, the orcs differentiate their legions by helmet shape. In the previous illustration, the first four legions and various infantry types were shown. That list continues here with the remainder of the orc infantry forces and legions. They are as follows:Orc Executioner: The orcs that carry out the death sentences for insubordination and the murder of prisoners when they've lost usefulness are found things that delight in death and sadistically lop off the heads of their victims with broad slashing swords, or swords with serrated edges they use to saw off heads slowly in order to make their prisoners feel every piece of agony. When put in battle, orc executioners delight in giving their foes slow and agonizing deaths.
Orc Terror Trooper: The orc terror troopers are warriors shrouded in myth. They are rarely seen, but when they do appear, they are powerful foes that strike from the shadows like ghosts. The Dark corps mainly uses them in assassinations. Their helmets are made to resemble the skull of the Shringath, a strange, ape-like beast that lives only in the forests around the slopes of Mount Volatus in the Realm of the Dark Corps.
Orc Gunner: The main operators of the machine gun nests in the Dark Corps trench arrays and the howitzers, these orcs almost never see close combat, and therefore only carry pistols and knives. Their helmets are enchanted to protect their hearing from the artillery explosions.
Orc Defender: The shield-bearing and melee specialists, orc defenders always form into phalanxes to protect against enemy charges. These troops also can be used in advances towards enemy trenches, as their shields provide great protection against most lead bullets.
Orc Paladin: The equivalent of knights, these orcs are among the most heavily armored attackers, garbed in thick armor, with large swords and draped in ammunition.
Orc Flametrooper: The orc flametroopers are masters of incendiary weapons, and are the orcs that carry flamethrowers filled with napalm. Their armor is fireproof to prevent them from being burned by their own tools.
5th Legion: Preferring maces over other melee weapons, these vicious orcs enjoy smashing through enemy ranks.
6th Legion: The orcs of the 6th Legion prefer heavy guns as ranged weapons and big, two-handed swords, axes and halberds as weapons. They usually prefer working with their own legion members than with other orcs from other legions. Mingling with the other orc legions makes them irritable.
7th Legion: Adorned with simple sallet helmets, these orcs are sword-specialists. They train religiously in swordplay and enjoy fighting amongst themselves to elevate their status in the ranks.
Part 2 of the helmet variations between orc legions and infantry types. Once I started, it was hard to stop.
