(now you will know how it started, you'll see how Dudley showed up on the Fox railway before he started getting Lilith and Princess Marie to team up with him)

Daniel stood waiting on the platform early in the morning. On the horizon, a huge tender engine emerged in the distance, reaching the golden fox station. Its black paint was shabby, and its puffs were deep and horse. The engine came to a stop a line of trucks rattled and groaned behind him.

Daniel: Good morning; I assume you are the replacement goods engine.

Engine: That is correct, sir.

Engine: The regular diesel derailed in the yard wasn't looking where she was going and derailed on the points. But you know how arrogance and self-importance get in the way of some engines. *winks*

Daniel: *chuckles knowingly* Indeed I do.

Daniel: What is your name?

Engine: Dudley, sir. An honor to traverse your railway.

Daniel: Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Dudley. Please proceed to the shed. I'm sure you are exhausted after your long journey. Also, you'll be in good company with my engines.

Dudley: Thank you for your hospitality, sir. I wish you a pleasant morning.

*Dudley then made his way to the sheds. Daniel, on the other hand, couldn't help but wonder, though*

Daniel: *to himself* Hmmm, Dudley? That name sounds familiar. Maybe...... no, that's probably not the same engine. Dudley is a pretty common name.

*Dudley soon arrived at the roundhouse, the engines of the fox railway greeted him warmly, and soon they were laughing and chatting like old friends.*

Dudley: You're lucky to have a controller who cares about you. I'm surprised I lasted this long on the other railway; it's a different situation. I believe my days are numbered over there.

Golden Eagle: * darkly* A grim end indeed.

Billy: Grim, end my bunker! We could change that.

Dudley: Oh, no, I couldn't expose such a thing. Besides, Daniel's already got Lilith and the Snow beena tank engines, and I'm sure he won't.....

* just then, a horn sounded out*

Duchess of Athol: Oh, speaking of which, here comes our new acquisition now. Even though he's been here for a while, though.

* Lucas back down next to Dudley in the roundhouse *

Lucas: Hello, I'm Lucas. What's your name?

Dudley: * unenthusiastically*Name's Dudley.

Lucas: Well, happy to meet you, Dudley.

Dudley: * unenthusiastically * Mutual, I'm sure.

Lucas: Will you be staying here long or not?

Dudley: * ignoring Lucas* Say, I heard that one of you helped capture two wanted locomotive criminals, Roscoe and Desoto.

Duchess of Athol: Oh yeah, that was me, Lilith, and the others.

Dudley: oh, do tell!

Duchess of Athol: ok * so Duchess of Athol began the story.*

* Lucas was stunded *

David: He gave me the cold buffer as well. Living over there must not have painted us diesels in a good light.

Ernest: Yeah, I can imagine. Don't take it personally, buddy; most of us took a while to come around.

Lucas: I hope so.

Ernest: I know. But we all know that you and David aren't like those bad diesels on the other railway. Well, unlike Dante, that is.

David: Yeah, he was a complete bastard. Thank heavens he's gone now!

Ernest: I know, right? Can't believe he stayed for that long. Not to mention what he did to Sheila.

David: yeah, I hope she's ok.

Lucas:* conceded* I know, and I hope Dudley will come around soon. * but he couldn't help but feel a little hurt*

* the next day, all the engines were being prepared for work*

Dudley: It was a pleasure to meet you all. If we never meet again, I only wish you the best.

* and with a blast of his whistle, he set off *

Lilith: * awoke* what time is it?

Netherland line: Time for you to get up, that's what.

Lilith: Ugh, I can only guess I must take another slow goods train again. Why do I always get stuck with slow goods?

Ernest: I thought you said that you didn't mind pulling trucks.

Lilith: Yes, I did say that, but doing slow goods all the time is getting monotonous. Starting and stopping constantly.

Ernest: Well, if you hadn't played Switcheroo with other trains, you wouldn't be stuck on slow goods.

Lilith: Oh, go smash some meat vans, you paranoid runt!

Ernest: Hey!

Lilith: Don't bother fetching the trucks for me! I'll get them myself!

*Lilith stormed off*

Duchess of Athol: She's still upset about the whole thing. * sighed * I don't know what's gotten in her lately, I tried asking, but she won't answer. She's not usually this grumpy. She has been aggravated before, but lately, it's like she's got a dark cloud over her.

Ernest: I'm sure she'll get better and start talking to you.

Duchess of Athol: I hope so. Cause I think there might be something else upsetting her. Anyway, I got to get going. The morning express isn't going to pull itself. * she headed off to the yard to get ready.*

*Ernest then went to the station yard and got Duchess of Athol's coaches ready. With Sheila out of action along with Sam, he had to help around in the yards as Nathan and Josh were being rushed off their wheels with all the extra work. Ernest brought the coaches to the platform. As he shunted them into place, he saw Lilith angrily shunt a line of coal trucks and vans onto the next platform before leaving to get more coal for her tender*

Ernest: Wow, she's still in a bad mood. * he then left the coaches at the platform and went to resume the rest of the yard work*

* later, Duchess of Athol came backing down onto her train when the driver noticed something on the line, one of Lilith's trucks, a 16ton coal truck, was fouling the points. " look out ! " he shouted *

* Duchess of Athol saw the truck and tried to stop, but it was too late. She hit the coal truck and came off the rails he tenders smashing into the platform jackknifing at an angle with one end facing upward, having been slammed against the concrete structure. The coal truck was smashed, and Duchess of Athol's cab and side was scratched and damaged. The tender had been damaged too. Ernest had just pulled up to the other platform and had seen everything. He quickly went to go get help. Dudley soon came with the breakdown train*

Daniel: What happened, D.O.A.?

Duchess of Athol: I don't know, I was just getting ready to pull my coaches when there was a random truck on the points; I think it's from Lilith's train.

Ernest: It is. I saw her shunt them to the platform, though she did seem to be handling them roughly.

Daniel: I'll have to talk to Lilith, but I won't point fingers. For all we know, the breaks could have been faulty. But this is a nasty predicament, with us being down four engines now.

Dudley: Excuse me, Daniel, but may I be of assistance? I won't exactly be busy if I return home, so my controller could spare me for a bit longer.

Daniel: Well, given our situation. I guess it will be alright.

Dudley: Thank you, sir.

* Duchess of Athol was soon put back on the rails, and Dudley took her to the works*

Dudley: * in a comforting tone* There, you'll be right as rain soon, my friend.

Duchess of Athol: Um, thank you then.

* as the two rolled away, Ernest got a little suspicious *

Ernest: Wait, what was he still doing here? I thought he left. Hmmm... it must have gotten delayed. Unless? * thinking *

* Ernest soon puffed away, much on his mind. Daniel later asked Lilith about what happened this morning, and when she told him that she had kinda been a little rough with the trucks, he scolded her for her rough handling of the trucks and told her to stay in her shed for the rest of the day. If only he knew the truth, but that's a story for another day*
