Description
Phew, it's done!I've seen so many bad names for Warrior Cats that I was inspired to create this guide. Now, don't shoot me or anything xD I've read the books so I have a basic idea of what each clan's specialties are. This is just a mini how-to for people that want to make an original character (not that Goldenfur is original XD) Hopefully this will eliminate names like Metalclaw, Crystalpool, and God forbid Irontail. I may as well make a cat named Chromosome-pelt! Anydoodles, if you have any suggestions for me to add/remove from this mini guide, please do tell!

I thought that it was Great up until suffixes and prefixes. You make no impact o me. I think if you took away a few things it might be great, So I really don't have too much more to say except that you could actually work on it a bit more, BTW I love the drawings, and you are a very good artist. GoldenFur is a amazing and fantastic name, But chirp and song, etc, are OK names too. I think this is a good game, butI also think you could do a little bit more work on it, too... So Yeah...

Thanks for the comment, what would you prefer I'd take away??Β
I honestly didn't put a lot into it since I'm not a hardcore fan of the series, it was meant as a quick little guideline against stupid names.Β

Actually, Milkfur was an old RiverClan medicine cat
I also like the name Milkshade or Milkshine...

On the warriors site, they have something that gives you a clan based on your answer (you probably know) and a name based on yours. I did it, and also looked at this. Her name was Hawkbelly of Windclan. Since I've gone through this, I've decided the 'belly' part was okay, and Hawkbelly will be my warrior cat character

Yeah I've tried that.
Hawkbelly is pretty good, depending on the colour scheme of the cat
Otherwise its a great name

She's black, with a white tail tip and forepaws. Well, that was her original color. I've been thinking of redrawing her, this time with her dark brown fur instead of black to match 'hawk' better!

If a warrior with the prefix star became leader, then they would be called star. In the original warriors series, one of the ancient ThunderClan leaders was named Sunstar, so ha.

The guide is based on the first four series, as well, part of the "religion" of warrior names Β is that they should not be named after celestial bodies. If a cat in the ancient clans was named star, then that would have been pre-modern naming. I haven't read the new series or the guides nor do I plan to, but the guide says making an "original" warrior cat, not a cat that has a horribly overused prefix.

Aggh you are too traditional there are so many warrior cats in the warrior cat series that they are going to have to use them sometimes.

Perhaps, at some point,
But again the guide is made to avoid cat names like MetalClaw and related stuff. It's meant for an original name and not an overused one. Thanks for the comment

I completely agree, one of my friends named her's tadpole... I can't describe how annoying that was! Also when they give them such stupid names like "Flowershine" or "Magicblossom" grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! this explains it sooo well!!!!!!!!!

Ugh some names are absolutely horrid.
One was Riversparkle. It was ridiculous.

At the same time, I agree and disagree about having the animals in their name as a suffix. I admit, "Hawksnow" from Cloudstar's Journey made no sense as to why he even had that name. If he was named Snowhawk that would have made sense due to the fact that he had the fur pattern of a hawk and yet was covered in white spots. Foxheart is a good name also, but ironically sound's VERY similar to the term, "Fox-hearted", and Foxheart from Yellowfang's Secret was a total bi-ach! Otherwise, I do think that this is very beneficial, and I agree the Milk is really weird to put in a cats name, medicine cat or not. Ugh, it actually sounds kind of gross once you think about it.
Other than what I just made a small speech about, thanks for making this!

XD I haven't read the new ones, only the four series so I don't have
much knowledge of other names, but I agree that Hawksnow is a ridiculous
name xD How can a hawk be related to snow in any way? Snowhawk is better
according to the description you wrote. Oye, Foxheart is a funny one.
There have been so many times when I see Warrior Cats roleplays with names
like Irontail or Milkfur. Like, what the heck? Welcome to the world, Milkkit lol.
I quite enjoyed reading your comment

Like I said, and old RiverClan medicine cat was named Milkfur.
He or she was mistaken as Troutfin in the introduction on Secrets of the Clans....
How can you mistake Milkfur at Troutfin???
Also, Tigerstar's original name was going to be Hammerclaw. I mean seriously??? Hammerclaw! Welcome to the world, Hammerkit.
That's enough to scar a kit for life. Lol.

In the new book "Yellowfang's Secret", Yellowfang's mentor is Deerleap
Along with an ancient SkyClan med cat called Fawnstep, plus Otterheart, Ottersplash, and Wolfstep. So I guess cats DO know about animals that dont even live in the forest/lake.

As much as I agree to you, to 's defence though, he or she made a point as to why you shouldn't use, "Seal" and the warrior cats have seen Otters, yet they have never seen seals before. They do have some knowledge for other animals, but only know about the animal's benefits, like Wolfstep probably has the benefits of having big and strong paws like a wolf's, or Fawnstep which represents how the warrior is able to quickly run or leep like a deer or fawn.
