there are things like proportions, dynamic poses and folds i'm able to draw better than 2009, way better! because in 2009 i didn't know anything about these things. look at the face of the 2009 version - the eyes are on different positions. and the best: some smuged backround to hide that there's no idea for a body or second hand -.-
please people don't tell me 2009 is better, it's not...
only my skills to ignore the mistakes and sit more hours than today on a little picture like that, were bigger in 2009

i think the improvement here is not so much ability to draw, which you have shwoing in the first drawing. It is improvement from moving from a copy. To making the character in your own style and having that character still remain it's self.
