Description
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages, welcome back to Death Battle and we've got a special one tonight! This time, we've got two infamous Redwall villains who not only were big baddies of the books they were featured, but also managed to find their way in television, facing each other. Sounds rather possible, don't you think? Well, some people did have the thought of what if Cluny and Slagar did face each other and decided there could only be one big baddie. Both have one part of their faces disfigured, both had (and fought aside) an army/band, both targeted Redwall (though each had a different reason), and their enemy was a warrior mouse.Cluny the Scourge:
- Species: Bilge Rat
- Was the main villain of Redwall
- Used to be a pirate, then turned to be a leader of an army of vermin.
- His power and skills include his whip-like tail that is equipped with a poisonous barb, fighting skills, speed, agility, manipulation, intelligence, cunning, and skillful tactics.
- Was thought to be born in the southern jungles of the Redwall universe.
- Is extremely cruel, violent, ambitious, bloodthirsty, and destructive. But he's also very smart (so don't try to outsmart him because he'll just outsmart you, even at the extent of your life!).
- Is unpredictable, killing even his own soldiers for the slightest plights, and is prone to obstreperous outbursts when things do not go the way he wants.
- Conscripts peaceful woodlanders into his horde in order to make it bigger.
- Has an eye-patch on where he lost one of his eyes. It was said that he lost his left eye during a battle with a pike, which he killed in retaliation.
- His crimes include piracy, pillaging and theft, laying invasions/sieges, war crimes, slaughters, taking hostages, and blackmail. He even murdered Matthias' family when he was a young 'un in the TV series.
- Goal: To conquer Redwall Abbey and slay and/or enslave all the inhabitants there.
- Has an army/horde of vermin (most of them being rats, with a handful being weasels, stoats, and ferrets).
- Voiced by Diego Matamoros
Slagar the Cruel:
- Species: Red Fox
- Started as a minor villain in Redwall, then became the main villain in Mattimeo
- Known by many names: Slagar the Slaver, the Cruel One, the Sly One, Lord of Double-Dealing, Lord of Light and Darkness, Lunar Stellaris, Stellar Lunaris, Lord of Mountebanks, the Slaver, and the Master.
- Real (or former) Name: Chickenhound
- Was a young fox cub that used to work as a healer assistant for his mother, Sela (though he secretly hated being known just as her son and wanted to be known as a force in his own right), then became a slaver dealer after a run-in with the giant adder, Asmodeus, after Sela was excecuted by Cluny and his horde.
- His power and skills include his manipulation, medical knowledge, deceptively toughness, intelligence, cunning, magician skills,
and his bolas.
- Most likely lived in Mossflower with his mother before the events of Redwall.
- Is devoid of sympathy (not even caring about his mother's death and mocked her), can be completely ungrateful, is very manipulative, was resentful of his association with his mother and wanted to be a crimelord. After the incident with Asmodeus, he became extremely intelligent and ruthless. He is also double-crossing, pitiless, and unspeakably cruel, even showing no mercy to children (even if they're part of his gang).
- He also good with backstabbing others as while he constantly fools his enemies, he also betrays and kills his allies. He's even greedy enough to go as far as getting rid of the gang he has by either killing them and/or manipulating them into killing each other so he could reap and have all the benefits to himself. He then finds a new gang to use and to keep the cycle continue.
- Despite his reputation as a heartless psychopath, however, he is nothing more than a coward, rather prefers to run away from the fight and leave his cohorts to do the dirty work than to jump into the fray himself (all while taking the full credit himself).
- Kidnaps/Captures young beasts to sell as slaves to Malkariss.
- Wears a silken, harlequin-colored head mask on his head to hide the hideous scar Asmodeus left on the right side of his face (which lost all of its fur, revealing skin that was black and purple and hanging in loose folds), including his eye (He would have tried to have his revenge on the snake, had it not been for Matthias, who slew the snake with the Sword of Martin).
- His crimes included slavery, kidnapping, murder, child abuse, conspiracy, and theft.
- Goal: Previous one being to loot Redwall Abbey, Current ones being to (1) get revenge on Matthias and all of Redwall by kidnapping their young ones to sell as slaves to Malkariss and (2) to overthrow Malkariss himself.
- Has a current gang of weasels, stoats, and ferrets (and a young rat), though he'd only use them to round up some slaves and take them to the Kingdom of Malkariss, then get them to betray and kill one another while he alone receives all the would-be credit/reward (he's done that for ten seasons). He's even have the long-tailed horde (a horde of rats associtated with Malkariss) and the blackrobe rats (Malkariss' followers) to back him up (or to fight for him while he takes cover).
- Voiced by the famous Tim Curry.
- Is the only Redwall Villain to appear in more than one novel of the series.
Who do you think will come out on top? How do you think it'll start and turn out? Who will win this deadly and ruthless fight and earn the title (and crown) as the top villain of all Redwall?

The rat here would be able to chase off the fox in a heartbeat in this case. From what I’ve heard, Cluny can actually back up his threats
