Description
Hey, you nature lovers out there! Today is Earth Day, when we become aware of how the only planet we call home (and that supports life) works and why/how we can take action to preserve everything in Earth. This group of animals from different places around the world have gathered around to wish you all a happy Earth Day. These animals are found in their own different habitats, whether they're from open plains (like the Serval), from forests and jungles (like Bengal Tiger, the Sloth Bear, the Red Panda, and the Red-Eyed Tree Frog), rivers (like the Eurasian Otter), oceans (like the Bottlenose Dolphin, the Humpback Whale, the Green Sea Turtle, and the Manta Ray), or even the poles (like the Arctic Fox and the Emperor Penguin). As we all know, Earth is the only planet where life occurs (and where we have oxygen and water), which explains the amazing diversity of forms of life that resides here. However, Earth is still a small and fragile world. For us, humans, the role as the only species capable of creating a habitable planet is something to appreciate. However, we can't just take it for granted, just like we can't take other species for granted (especially ones in danger of oblivion). After all, there is a delicate balance that keeps everything in order and must be preserved in order to do so. When a species of animal becomes extinct, it affects all the other animals that are linked to it and the balance of nature becomes disturbed. When the environment/an ecosystem is greatly altered in one part if the world, other parts of the world also becomes affected. That's why we all must share the world with other species. As stewards of the Earth, it's our job and very important for us to take care of the planet and the other species in it. We can also help and take action, even in our local places. The six things we can do is:
1. Educate the public
2. Support conservation
3. Do our research
4. Protect endangered wildlife and/or species needing help
5. Reduce our consumption
6. Be aware of the creatures we share our planet with and how our planet works and spread the awareness to others.
We should all do our part to preserve wildlife and nature in this planet (plus, every day should be Earth Day). That's why it's important for us to conserve life on earth, so it'll last for generations to come. Remember, Earth is our home and everything in nature is all connected in the 'Great Circle of Life.' And sharing is caring.
Happy Earth Day to one and all.
