Description The DC Direct Crime Synbdicate as they first appeared back in the sixties... and while I was lighting and photographing them I discovered that with the right lighting and the right angle (and good sculpting) your figure can also look like it was rendered by Alex Ross!

I quite agree... he is an amazing talent! In this case the lighting just worked out incidentally to produce this effect and I found it to be strikingly reminiscent of his Kingdom Come work

I kinda liked these classic versions more than the 'modernized' versions they put out in the DCU line recently. They didn't even bother to update Johnny Quick or Power Ring, and while these are very evocative of the sixties style, they are still very modern sculpts- not so much for poseability, but their base poses and faces really capture the characters to my mind!

Did you think much of the movie cartoon "Crisis on Two Earths" just curious?

I actually liked it a lot- it wasn't the Grant Morrison story, but I loved the organizational charts of the different 'crime families' organized beneath each 'boss', and the characterizations of the CSA really were pretty good. The voice acting was top notch as it usually is (Usually, not always) and aside from the little romance between the Martian Manhunter and Rose, I was pretty happy with it overall.

And the fangilr payoff of playing "identify the negative universe version of the hero' was a lot of fun for me, I'll admit

I completely agree! J'onn has had a dalliance or two in his day, and being a shapeshifter they have intimated that not all of them were with humans, which is actually pretty good writing on their part. But in this case... yeah, the alt-universe version of the Terminator's daughter seemed to be a bit too much of a stretch.
