not happy. a lot of work invested. looks.. decent but there's no wow factor. More contrasts need to be used.

I also feel like the binoculars effect is fake and the black is a bit too much

Cu plăcere.....Știu cum e să fii nemulțumit(Ă) de opera ta..... Eu nu-s niciodată mulțumit dar întotdeauna sau aproape.....Celălalt va vedea frumusețea din ce te-ai chinuit tu acolo să faci...... Cred că opera devine ceva substanțial, viu...doar dacă ti-o vede cineva........Dacă o vezi doar tu...există toate șansele să-i dai foc...........

oh total !!! fix asta mai discut si cu alti oameni... cum noi ca artisti ne vedem mereu lucrarile mult mai jos decat altii doar pentru ca fiecare intelege ceva mai mult decat artistul a vrut sa exprime...
Bine.. sunt si reguli peste reguli ( eu cel putin incerc sa tin cont de ele pe cat posibil) dar fix atunci cand se incalca acele reguli parca e mai graitoare lucrarea

Exact ! la mine cand vine vorba de "letting go" e mai greu .. nu prea mai pot sa desenez liber... cand eram mai mica umpleam pagini cu doodles .. acu daca nu am ceva bine definit in cap mi-e mai greu.. :s

Wow, so detailed. Great work! The first one is my favourite, the most details and a nice composition, I especially like how the lower half is darker, but it isn't exaggerated.

well... the "field" is actually a river and everyone saw it as a field so iguess it's my representation that sucks...
I 've been told i have to draw the reflection even though there's no reflection in the image i'm looking as inspiration..
I thought if i would sketch the water the lightest it would give the impression of it being a river but i guess not

I get the feeling, even more when you're drawing something as complex as plants, crosshatching can be specially hard to use. Why not try using diluded ink and applying it with a brush? Mixing styles can lead to really interesting results.

that's such an amazing idea ! Now i just need to stop being lazy and go and get that : )) For some reason ink is really hard to find in my area but i will make an effort in the name of art

You're pretty tough on yourself, because I definitely think there's a wow factor here. Amazing details with plenty of more spacious parts that let it breathe. The way you tell a story here, is wonderful also.

i see it as a technical sketch..kinda.. good for practice but what i meant is that i wouldn't see it as a stand alone image to place on a wall for example. it would be ok within a bigger story though
i am usually unhappy with the outcome cause i tend to see all the "mistakes" i made rather than see it as a whole.. i like my works more when some time passes by hehe
