in all seriousness i want to be my own employer. always. i have worked around 10 years for others..indeed not in this domain but i don't know if i could cope with time limits and whatnot especially in drawing. like.. i cannot imagine working in an office and not from my beloved pc and desk.... i....
i need to sit and find a very good idea of a book to work on my own. i have some guidelines already i have set up like.. i want it to be a SF story cause that's what influenced me the most anyway... and i want it to have a 1/2 story - 1/2 illustrations... but that's mostly all i have for now.. I usually limit myself until i get to that level to not daydream and then feel down. i hate to expect things .. so i try to invest all my energy in the Now for the Future.
I also tend to have a lot of dead moments when i can only learn and cannot apply in drawing.. like my hand doesn't connect to the brain.. but each time i come back i feel like i have evolved one more step. Right now for example i managed to add up to 10 h of work per day which is something i was never able to do for more than 2 days in a row. I'm at day 9 now + i have a bit of a different mindset.. i am more willing to accept my mistakes in order to be able to work around them(weird enough i do that in daily life but couldn't apply in drawing..)
oh wow i talk too much..

I think that's a wise ultimate goal. I followed the same path of working for others until I learned the business side of things and then decided it was time to work for me.
I think that's a great idea...a book. The concept will come to you sooner or later if you keep the idea bouncing around inside your head...so don't get too down. They say Rome wasn't built in a day.
That's a positive too...because the day we begin to think we learned all we can, then that's the day we begin dying. You live art. Very cool.
If you talk too much then I must listen too much

The graduation of the dots is brilliant.
i would play the band "Peaches" or "the lords of acid" while looking at your erotic art.
this is so inviting.

That really is a commitment, investment of time.
I used to have several pictures on the go for weeks, months but now I treat it like a race.
It's great realisation from you but I understand why it's a process you don't apply all the time.

i usually jump from trying to work fast to trying to work a good volume. i can't really be in between and working volume still is shit compared to how much time other artists invest... i could never ever work more than a few days on something and i know people working for years on same thing. that would be my recipe to go insane
and again. everything that's not finished looks so much more interesting so i try to go with the flow

In my gallery there is one picture that took me half an hour to draw and I laughed because I though it was garbage.
I posted It and it had the most favs I'd ever received at the time.
There is a lesson...but I've not figured it out yet....

I think people who are not artists will usually get hyped by anything over their range of skills.. and then .. if people seeing it are artists most of them will understand how much time was invested in something.I had a guy once ask me to show him my sketches and i barely accepted and he was mind blown .. for me it was weird cause of course, we know how the end result should look, how our brain imagined it and i think we mostly see what is missing rather than what we have just cause of that. But when showing it to someone else(or even to ourselves after a few months) it's a finished design. and what lacks is what makes it interesting in most of the cases.
I still haven't figured out if there's like a math recipe for it.. like... to have enough info on the page to make the eye jump.. or to have that flow and dynamic even if the sketch has only few lines overall.. probably it's balance. And i know most of us thrive for that. But then again it's the tiny mistakes that make even a face be more pretty like a crooked smile or one tiny lovely tooth showing more than the others.. UGH ! If i find the recipe i will mail it to you. haha

Absolutely incredible! This technique is very time consuming, but the results can be mind blowing. I've tried this before, but never finished the piece...
Congratulations! I love all of them.

thank you very much ! i agree with everything you said , I also have no idea how i managed to actually finish it ) To be honest... music helps a lot. I am not a fan of listening to experimental techno music at home but when it comes to dots apparently the beat helps me

yea i like it too to be honest... and its so fun to work with dots ! feels harder to make mistakes if the sketch is good enough
i mostly used this image as a study for hands , since i am a potato usually ... practice makes it better though
Thank you very much for the lovely comment !

Intriguing - I like the initial surprise. It keeps me thinking too. An open mouth is a powerful image and the fingers add effect. Smart.
