Description
Bought myself a fountain pen and an ink bottle and i did this piece to experiment... i haven't worked with ink wash before but i pretty much treated it as watercolor
And the fountain pen is aweeesomee
used the pen for line-art, added the ink-wash with brushes

i Love it ! so much different than the ink markers... the lines are so much easier to draw... there's also that thing where you can use pressure easier than with the markers... the lines also variate more ... and i got a very kid/school like fountain pen as they are very expensive around here(no one buys them anymore so they are seen as "luxury" i think) and it still did its job in an awesome way.. Mine is one of those that has ink pen cartridge but i could always take the cartridge out and dip it if i want that effect i guess...
THank you for the comment ! Hope you will get a pen like these some day.. they are very very nice... Another thing i saw was that my hand didn't hurt from the line-art... something that happens often with markers..

Thanks a lot for the insight, Sabina, I would be certainly tempted to try someday.
I use ink drawing mostly while I am commuting by subway during the morning.
Maybe a good occasion to try it out, then.

So very cooool! What I really like are all the details, 'bigger' or smaller ones. I have to say I discovered that there are other bodies in the water on the second view.

Those bodies also hide some nice details themselves hehe
Thank youu So glad you like it !! And so glad there's a lot of details i was sooo keen on doing that for the last 2 years or so

Oh wow, I really like how it turned out. I love the contrast in values of the tentacles.

Thank you !! I have ome issues with them though, i need to practice some many pages of real tentacles (when i'm not too lazy) and actually do some real tentacles next time
Thank you very much for the comment ! I'm really glad you like it as i just love your watercolors so your comment means a lot to me!

I guess a graphic style does not necessarily need super realistic tentacles, but
i am curious about the next ones!
you are much too kind

The overall texture is great. I also like how you manage to give it a decent amount of visual depth with the various shading techniques you employed here. Plus, the line work is first rate.

It's actually more or less of a mess as the end result doesn't , of course, resemble with my imagination But ! I know now that i have to practice more waterscapes XD aaand to practice to build some proper tentacles ..
I like that i managed to give a good transition with the ink wash. And that the line-art didn't bleed too much as i was dumb enough to work the line-art first and add the ink wash after ..
Thank you very much for the kind words and lovely comment !

Well, regardless of all that, I don't see a problem. Properly colored, this could easily be a comic book cover of some type.

Oh, i have been using ink but markers with ink.. this is the first time I used ink in a fountain pen and from an ink bottle. The pen has a different feel than the markers(no matter how thin the markers are the pen is thinner <3 )
Thank you for the lovely lovely comment ! You rock too !
