Perdita is OPEN for RPs! I can't believe it, I made it in!

Had to change her name as there was already an Ashira in the group! (Although, I do admit I kinda think Perdita fits her better) I also took the time to add just a little more detail before I submit her for evaluation. I'm freaking out here!

Build: Lithe and graceful, with a strong chest and long, thin legs. Her fur is thick and a little curled around her face and neck, but the rest of her body fur is shorter. She's not muscularly built to be a fighter, instead more for speed and endurance.

Personality
Intelligent and Inquisitive
Her intelligence is the trait Perdita is most proud of. She can easily pick up a new subject, and has a desire to learn even more. That being said, she's far more "book smart" than she is "street smart." She holds a very high respect for those equal in knowledge or are trying to better theirs. To her, one of the biggest evils in the world is ignorance, and it is something she absolutely will not tolerate.
Perdita has always been curious and asking questions, but she does have a tendency to appear meddling. Due to an incident in her past, she doesn't like being left out of the loop and would resort to spying just to keep up to date on the information.
Loyal
Heyl took her in when she was lost and broken, and they appreciated Perdita as she was. For that she feels a very deep sense of loyalty to Heyl and her packmates. They come before anyone else, and she's willing to put her life on the line for their protection and well-being.
Quiet and Guarded
Once bitten, twice shy. Perdita was betrayed in the past, and because of that now has a hard time letting others get close. She's always been quiet; a little distant and keeping a lot of her thoughts to herself. She doesn't reveal much unless a certain wolf can earn her trust, then she opens up slowly. This can make her appear a bit cold, but she feels this is necessary in order to prevent history from repeating itself.
Overthinking
Because Perdita doesn't share her thoughts much, they bounce around in her head and grow more outlandish with every minute. At the very least, it takes forever for her to make a decision since she has to weigh every option. At its worst, she goes full-on panic mode trying to resolve a conflict that doesn't exist. Something very small often is blown completely out of proportion, and it causes Perdita a lot of unnecessary stress.
Determined, but Stubborn
Once she gets an idea in her head, there's no changing it. If she wants something, she will not quit until she gets it. That being said, she has a tendency to overstretch herself. She absolutely hates being wrong, and will stand by her statements until proven otherwise. She does accept it when she has made a false assumption, but she will never admit it to anyone's face.
Passive and Forgiving
Perdita's childhood had left her a bitter taste towards violence. She would fight if necessary, but considers it a last resort and would much rather try to talk things out first. She tries to avoid conflict in general, and manages to do so by remaining neutral in other's squabbles and almost immediately forgiving those who have done her wrong. If she does find herself in a heated argument or fight, at the end of it she makes sure that they leave on decent terms. There is nothing she doesn't want more than bad blood.

Pre-Group History
Perdita was born to Azal and Maiara, the alpha pair of a medium-sized, nomadic pack called Altsoba. It was a harsh pack where worth and rank were based off of an individual's strength. Fights were the most common method used to determine a wolf's position, and it was the only way anyone could ascend. If they were to loose or be considered weak, they were demoted or in certain situations, banished. The pack's style of battle was brute force and no mercy.

In this light, Perdita was considered a little "different". While not the smallest, she was the weakest of her siblings. Instead of rough-housing and play-fighting, she would instead listen to the elders' stories, take walks to think, and just watch the upcoming juveniles train. Many of her siblings and peers rejected her, and her behavior was concerning to her parents; if she proved too feeble they would be forced to abandon her. Her father Azal was more accepting of her, and he spent a lot of time with his daughter in order to better understand her. Her mother Maiara did love her daughter, but she didn't take the same steps as Azal and didn't have the same faith in her. As a juvenile, Perdita began training to become a full member of the pack, which included combat. Surprisingly, she was able to defend herself decently well. What she lacked in strength and ferocity, Perdita made up for using speed, wit, and strategy. It was a strange tactic to her pack, and it wasn't one that they trusted enough to use themselves. While she could never overpower any of her opponents, she did well enough to secure a position in the middle of the pack. She never had any big ambitions, as she never found where she felt she belonged.

Time passed, and eventually the day came when Perdita's father passed on. A successor was to be chosen using, as usual, a tournament. The winner ended up being Perdita's eldest brother in her litter, Tyrus. Tyrus won on sheer force alone, and despite being a perfect model for what the pack stands for, he did not have much going for him as a leader. Perdita saw his dilemma and often gave him advice, both wanted and unwanted. But after a while Tyrus began to consider his sister as a threat to his authority. She was very well-liked among the members, and she was smart; if she used her resources correctly, she could easily overthrow him and their way of life. So Tyrus turned her strength into a weakness: her intelligence. He began to spread rumors about Perdita's value to the wolves, saying that she was weak and a coward for not taking challengers head on, that she wastes precious time thinking, that she values herself over everyone else. It created a doubt in the members, all her brother needed was some way to get rid of her without drawing blame to himself.

That way came the day of the earthquake. The pack was passing through a mountain pass along a tall ridge when the quake hit, causing Perdita to fall down the slope and land in a pit of mud, breaking her front leg. She later suspected that her brother or one of his closer followers pushed her, but she had no proof. Instead of helping her, Tyrus demanded that she climb back up the muddy and rocky cliffside with no assistance. He claimed that if she was a real member of their pack, she would have the strength be able to make it. When she was unable to do so, this confirmed the suspicions of the members that she was a burden to the pack. No one argued against it, not even her mother. She was declared weak, and was completely deserted by her closest friends and family.

The betrayal completely shattered Perdita, so much that she lost interest in living. Giving up, she lay in the mud for hours, waiting for death. Some wolves would come and go, but she wouldn't alert them of her presence. But by fate, a couple of days after the earthquake the pack of Heyl was migrating through the pass thanks to flooding. At first Perdita was going to let them go by, but before they passed she heard a voice. It told her that she wasn't alone, and that she had to keep moving, it was not her time to die. With a second wind, she managed to get the attention of one of the Heyl wolves, was rescued, and taken into their care. With time, Perdita healed both physically and mentally. She regained full use of her leg thanks to the Medicine Keepers, and was able to overcome a deep depression by speaking with Spiritual Leaders and by learning more about pack life.

For the first time in her life, Perdita felt like she belonged somewhere. In Heyl, they revered knowledge instead of belittling it. They viewed bloody combat as a last resort. They healed the broken instead of leaving them to die. The more Perdita learned about the pack, the more she realized she didn't want to leave. When she was approached about possibly becoming a member, she jumped at the opportunity and pledged her full loyalty to Heyl.

If she has to fight, her style is to go on the defense, and wait for the best opportune moment to strike.
Despite what her Tyrus and former pack had done to her, Ashira has forgiven them and hopes that one day they'll meet again so that she could tell them that.
