Do I have more important things I need to be doing? Yes, yes I do. But to heck with that, let's become more obsessed with DotW! I've been wanting to improve on my style and anatomy, so I decided to mess around a lttle bit with Perdita's parent's designs and personalities. So here, enjoy while I continue to procrastinate on art and other important things.

Azal and Maiara were the alpha pair of a nomadic pack called Altsoba, whose culture was dominated by physical strength and combat. Perdita gets most of her build from her mother and coloring from her father. She also has her mother's eyes, as well as cheek fur and a little crook in her nose from her father. Together, Azal and Maiara were a strong pair, and were deeply in love although they hardly ever showed it.

Azal was a huge, bulky wolf with rather short fur. His body is riddled with scars from previous fights. He led the pack strictly to their ideals and philosophies. Noble and proud, he didn't show much emotion other than when he was with his mate and pups. By his pack he was deeply respected, maybe not loved but not quite feared either. While being a tough leader, Azal had a soft spot for his children, and was one of the few wolves that took extra steps to better his relationship with Perdy, helping develop her curiosity. He died naturally due to old age when Perdy was around 3 years old.

Maiara is much more lithe, with thick fur along her face and neck. Despite her soft looks, Maiara is deadly. She moves quickly and quietly, like a viper. Cold and merciless, no one would dare cross her. As a mother, she toned down a bit but still was tough. She loved and breathed by the culture of her pack, and she wanted to instill that in her children. This really distanced her from Perdy, she didn't have much faith in her. As of now, Maiara is presumed to be alive. She has slowed down quite a bit, but still is feared by a majority of the pack. She is conflicted on whether or not abandoning Perdy was just, though she doesn't seem to regret it.
