Nickname(s): Sem, Semmy

Powers/Abilities:
Psychokinesis
Semblance was born with psychic powers, despite neither of his parents possessing it themselves. His powers stem from a demonic entity that tethered itself to him, planning to use his body as a host to enter this dimension. Semblance has been honing his powers and his control over them ever since he accidentally hurt another kid. As of now he has them in check practically all of the time. He's able to move very heavy objects, make himself float and stop moving objects immidiately. However, he can only do one of these things at a time. He's still struggling to learn how to do them simultaneously.

Personality:
Semblance cares greatly for those he considers his friends. He'd drop anything he's doing to help his friends if needed. He enjoys making others feel happy and secure, something he learned from the way he was raised by his parents. Always having had them as support pillars during his childhood and teenage years, he knows how reassuring it is to have someone help you no matter what.
He wants to have a positive effect on the people around him and aims to make the world a less terrible place. He firmly holds onto the belief that, even if the world may be cruel, you don't need to be.
He places great value on kindness and keeping an open mind. He's a great friend to have in times of uncertainty, with his endlessly positive and optimistc attitude. Of course, depending on the people he's with, his attitude can be grating or even inappropriate.
He always wants to see the best in people, trying to find a positive side to everything and everyone. This attitude can make him gullible and easily lets people take advantage of him, but he tries to not let it get him down. He tries not to dwell on negativity a lot.
He avoid conflicts whenever possible. Not being a very confrontational person, he doesn't like getting into arguments. He's typically careful with his word choice, not wanting to say something wrong.
He has trouble using his psychic powers in fights, always having it drilled into him that he shouldn't harm others. He usually aims to incapacitate rather than injure.
Despite his psychic powers, he was raised to not consider himself "above" others. Semblance regards himself as just as "normal" as a person as someone with no special powers whatsoever. He knows his boundaries and those of his powers, but always tries to improve himself. He is often times self-depricatingly open about his limits and what he can't do.

Backstory:
Semblance was born in a remote town in a hilly area far away from the big cities. However, before he was born a demonic entity from another dimension tethered itself to him, hoping to use him as a host to enter his dimension. It changed Semblance physical appearence, giving him his blackened eyes and the markings on his body. The goal was to have Semblance ostracized for his different appearance and feed off of his negative emotions, from which the demon draws its power. Unfortunately for the entity, his parents didn't reject Semblance's odd appearance and raised him lovingly. Due to the demon tethered to him, Semblance manifested psychic abilities early in his life. After not having success in getting Semblance's parents to reject him, the demon started letting Semblance's psychic powers run amok at random to have people become afraid of him. After the first incident of Semblance accidentally hurting another child with his powers, his parents isolated him for a while so he could learn to control his powers, always encouraging him along the way. Semblance put his heart into getting control over his powers. The demon, having very little negative emotions to draw strength from, soon lost his influence on Semblance's psychic abilities. With the random "outbursts" no longer happening, Semblance was allowed to meet up with the other kids again. He even became very popular because of his psychokinesis, using it to show off to and impress the others.

Trivia:
-When tired, Semblance tends to eat whatever he's holding (mostly paper)
-It takes him a while of chewing to notice and it embarrasses him
