Here is a project Iv'e been pondering on for a while for my Yami cosplay. Most people that cosplay gen one of yu-gi-oh have the grey oversize (when its supposed to be compact) duel disc. Now anytime I can find an old gen disc I snatch it up fast for me or friends to use for cosplay and have about 4 gen 1 atm. I have been pondering for a long while of building a compact version that's actually accurate to the show when their not dueling. I however decided to piece apart my first duel disc that had horrible sun damage/bleached colors for as old as it was. I then took it apart, trimmed it down, glued it together and re painted it. The duel disc in 1 is int the sun damaged one (I didnt take a pic of it before I took it apart). Im 90% done with it beyond some minor painting I need to finish up for detailing and gluing a fake deck into the disc.Related content

No I had to make it locked in its position just for shoots. Iv'e got another one for dueling shots with the extended disc. I plan on Show painting it also for it to match to the show.

Ah, I see. But for photoshoots, that is pretty cool (and kind; less worry of poking someone the way you can with a regular duel disk, that's for sure). And hope the paint job turns out epic.

I like how it's also the accurate white color and not the off grey.
i was going to make one from scratch for that version but decided against later because i dont' cosplay a character who uses the gen 1 anyway lol

their hard to find honestly if you can for cheap. Most every convention Ive worn them I can get an offer for 40-80 for my disc, especially at Chicago kons

Local shops and garage sales are great for finding them. I got mine for about 15 dollars, and you can sometimes get them cheaper at goodwill. My friend offered me three for 5 dollars (including a chaos duel disk), but turns out his mom gave them to salvation army.
