HistoryHawkLeap had always been temperamental and constantly assumed he was in the right, no matter how proven wrong he had been. Especially so in that he was more important than he was, that he had prophetic dreams (that never seemed to come true). A real "boy who cried wolf", but instead of getting hurt in the end, he got mad.

One awful day, when a new litter had been born, and came screeching of how they were cursed, how he had had a dream saying the kit would doom the clan. Outraged and disgusted at his 'ploy' to get attention, the clan dismissed him and kept him away from the nursery.

Unfortunately for every cat, it didn't quite work. One night, when the mother was fetching fresh kill, HawkLeap had crept into the nursery in an attempt to do something about it himself. The yowl of outrage from another queen is what saved the young kit, alarming the clan and sending a frantic, furious mother coming colliding with HawkLeap, her need to save her kit from someone she knew as nothing more than a threat costing him his life.

He still insists he was doing the right thing, and they were mad for preventing it.
