Star Trek: Defiance|Alliance and Continuum Related

The young Q sat beside his mentor, a great philosopher and well respected member of the Continuum. Q idolized the teacher he called Quinn. He taught him to keep his mind and eyes wide open, to look twice and always ask questions and Q did have a question.

"Quinn?" Q kicked his legs in the small pool at their feet.

Quinn only raised a brow down at the young one, with a soft smile "Hhm?"

"When I looked into my reflection a few days ago, I couldn't see all of me...."

"Now why would you need to look at your reflection?" Quinn asked.

"I'm not sure..." he continued. "But like I said, when I looked, half of me, my left, wasn't there....why is that?"

Quinn sat for a moment, looking into the pool with a smile before turning back to the young Q. "Perhaps you haven't found yourself yet."

Q cocked his head curiously.

"I mean, you have yet to discover what you are meant for, what you're meant to do in life." Quinn laughed.

"Well thats silly! Q's don't have purposes in life, we're just are what we are."

Quinn leaned over the small pool, running his hand across it, then sat back up. "Really?" he pointed into the water. "Look more closer and tell me what you see."

Q laid on his belly and looked into the water as hard as he could. At first he saw just the same image he described; his left side, covered in darkness, then the pool lit up and all around him went dark. There now only stood the floor of water, Quinn and him. Q glanced back.

"Go on, I know you can do it. Look even harder." Quinn smiled.

Q did what he was told and turned back to his reflection, but what he saw the second time, wasn't his reflection, it was....a girl? She slowly placed her hand at the surface, her eyes were blank but glowed a sea blue. Not sure why, Q placed his hand on top of hers, and than his other, locking his gaze with hers.

"Quinn...." he whispered. "What..what is this? Who is this?

"She is, your purpose, your door to true happiness."

Q felt oddly more comfortable and content with this girl, but he didn't know why.

"I-I don't understand...." his voice trailed, his eyes and hands still locked with hers.

"You will, Q." Quinn smiled. "...one day."

Lame story is lame. Anywho, because people don't read artists comments, lets see how many comments I get about Calius being naked here. Well theres a very obvious reason why, It's symbolic, SHES NOT ALIVE YET, which would also explain her hallow eyes

Apparently, Quinn was Q's mentor, I imagined he was his mentor when Q still appeared to be a child, so yeah that boy there is suppose to be Q. I have NO idea what a Q would where causally in the Continuum so I just put him in a black quarter length shirt
