A gift for a friend and one of my favourite character ever from an anime/ manga. Never drawn him much 'cause I felt the original style too far from my usual, but recently I've decided I want to start to draw something different from usual.Captain Harlock ©Leiji Matsumoto

I will be honest. Although I have not seen the anime series, if I know a little about the character, being that he is a kind of space pirate. Yet, nothing prevents me from commenting on this great drawing. To be the first time you draw Captain Harlock, it really has been a great time. If you allow me, the drawing is a curious and effective mixture of styles; On the one hand, your way of drawing anatomy is very noticeable, on the other hand, the style of the legendary artist Leiji Matsumoto is also notorious. Something that I definitely liked about your drawing was the cape with its respective folds, giving the idea that the cape is very loose and made of a hard and heavy fabric. It is also surprising that you have captured the determined and melancholic essence of the character, coupled with it to the exact recreation of his clothing. The hair and the cape gives the feeling that the character is reflecting, while the wind passes. Excellent work!
