The construction of the figure is pretty neat. You should work on the shading a little more, get some really good contrasts, dont be afraid to throw in some black.

Thanks, the whole idea was to make a genetically engineered creature that has the DNA of a predetory dinosaur, lion, chameleon, andseveral other animals including humans.

That's awesome! The sketchy look goes really well for monsters like this; it seems to emphasize its roughness and fearfulness, and leaves plenty unseen to frighten the imagination while still not lacking for detail. Good job!

Just remember the things you like about how that one turned out and teach youreself to apply that to all of your works, and you'll be okay. Even the best artists still learn something new with every illustration!

Ah okay... a good approach I've found works well is to start with a stick "skeleton," then building up the shapes for the major muscle groups, and once all the shapes look right, adding surface details like crazy, and clothes/armor if those apply. Of course, erasing the previous "layers" as I go along, so my own lines don't distract me.
But of course, from this illustration, it looks like you've got a more solid grasp of muscle structure than I have!

Sometimes I do that but the majority I just draw out lines and then fill em in as going about it.

realy nice drawing, but don't you think it would be much more realistic if did it only by shadows, without linear drawing ?
