Ignoring the fact that this drawing is massive spoilers, but, eh, everyone kinda knew this had to happen eventually. If you want to read (which you should), I warn for lots of gay! And l-lots of complex and not-good relationships.

I loved this part. Souji just beating the living shit out of him... I loved when Naoto's all "Okay, enough, you've done enough," and Souji says "I'll be done in a minute." I loved that line. Loved the story, period. And you did this scene justice.

It was. I mean, in a twisted way outside the story, I like Adachi, if only because of his character. But in this story, I wanted to punch him in the face like Souji did. I loved the descriptions--my fave line: "They stood over him like pallbearers. All staring down, and no one speaking." I had a literary-gasm when I read that. XD

She is an INCREDIBLE writer (and hey, you should totally check out some of her other P4 stuff! She also has an original story that started as a P4 AU, but grew into something crazy amazing all on its own. I haven't read the story, but your illustration gives me a vague idea of what it might be about. But irredeemable Adachi... is not an Adachi I'd like to see.
In any case, I really love the artistic quality of your piece even if my favorite character [i]is[/i] getting his face smashed in. The soft shading and the colors, and the fact that you seem to have captured their personalities really well.

Oh, see, the thing is...the author REALLY doesn't believe in irredeemable Adachi. In fact, one of her challenges in writing the story is making it so Adachi is still a human being underneath it all, and he has quite a few moments of getting scared and realizing he's in over his head. I don't hate Adachi at all and don't believe he's an evil sociopath! I just felt I had to get that out there! In this scene in particular, everyone is kinda freaked out at what Souji is doing and Yosuke, y'know, stops him. Which is wholly ironic if you've read the story.
...Which you don't have to! I just wanted to let you know this ISN'T Adachi hate art at ALL.

Okay, what you just said about Yosuke there totally went against the first impression I got from this pic and actually makes me REALLY happy (my original impression being that Yosuke was dead)
I also never assumed it was Adachi hate art (would I have fav'd it otherwise? ;D) and now I can't wait to read more than the five chapters I've already read... Yaaay!

Thanks! I think Adachi does redeemable qualities underneath it all, even after the reveal, although in that particular story...um...it's a lot harder to see those qualities....
Needless to say, this scene in the fic was VERY cathartic for readers.
