Description
Once again, I felt like MS Painting a Doberman, even if he is villainous. At least, I think he's supposed to be a Dobie. He seems to be at least a mix. Although unlike Roscoe and DeSoto, I am not a fan of his source material. Granted, I don't really get Buster's appeal, but meh. A Dobie for those who like him, I suppose.Buster © Disney

I'm sure already know his quotes: "Buster's trouble is Buster's trouble." & "Beautiful."

neither do I get his appeal either (or the appeal to pair him with Two-Tone from 101 Dalmatians even though to me it's more like a plot device to get her away from Lucky so Rebecca can get him)

would you get off this stupid ideal? People can ship Two-tone without trying to "get her away from Lucky", geesh.

The best I can guess is that it's a lot of the typical "bad boy" appeal. As for pairing her with him, I assumed it was playing off her (presumed) tendency for doing so (she did date Mooch, after all). Same with the reason I have sometimes seen her paired with Steele.

true, they do seem to do that given her being in the gang and all even if she didn't come off as a bad girl as they see her as

Well, due to limited presence, her character wasn't fully developed. The show itself was kinda bad about flipflopping the secondary cast in some cases (Two-Tone and Tripod, especially).

yeah, and the ones that did get development were the ones nobody cared about (mostly Spot, Lt.Pug, and Dumpling)

I give Spot a little slack because she did have some funny moments. But yeah, pretty much.

true she did and she was helpful in DeVillage Elder when she broke the curse on Lucky, Rolly, Cadpig, Anita, Roger, and Rebecca too which helped her more since she'd be aware of it to protect her family.

Even if it was kind of an admittedly cheap loophole in the narrative.

Then again, I do like Rebecca. But I have no idea what else could have been done with her character.

good question, maybe an adventure centered around her protecting her family in DeVilville

Possibly. I mean, I like the idea of her gaining a new life with Lucky, Cadpig, and company, but I feel she'd be haunted by leaving her family behind.

Yeah, I can see Rebecca being haunted by the thought of her leaving her family behind just to escape the village.

Indeed. But then again, I am not fully sure how such a narrative would work out.

Although, as noted, it does present some potentially decent story ideas. Then again, the fans would probably clash when the inevitable Lucky pairing debates come in.

Then again, the show didn't seem to explore his...ahem, "love life", if that's the word for it-beyond one episode, anyway.

true, though in Rebecca's case it was because she wanted to stay and protect her family from Judge Dimmsdale.
Two-Tone on the other paw did show feelings for Lucky in Prima Doggy, sad that episode was banned with Alive and Chicken. If anything I think in the series universe Lucky would have probably ended up with Two-Tone. I'll probably be hounded on DA for that comment from the LuckyXRebecca shippers here and the BusterXTwo-Tone shippers too.

Eh, don't worry about it. I prefer Lucky/Rebecca, but I ain't gonna give you flak for what you said.

Oh believe me, I've seen the movie he's from. And I've been a fan of his ever since. Admittedly this guy was one of my inspirations for Geist.

Again, I can see why. So, how many influences did Geist have besides him, Roscoe, and DeSoto?
I dunno. I guess one could argue appeal, but he seemed like a fairly shallow character from what I saw. That, and the whole "he's a pedophile" thing.

Well, there was also Vicious from Cowboy Bebop, the Joker from the Dark Knight, and Knives from Trigun. All these guys have one thing in common; they're all psychos.
Yeah, I agree; he kind of was a pedophile. But what I liked best about Buster is that he was downright evil. He gave you a reason to despise him.

Yeah, that sounds about right. From what I have seen of Geist, such sociopaths fit the description.
I see. I dunno, just not a character I am fond of. I mean, I am not really a fan of Roscoe and DeSoto, either, but I kinda like their designs. That, and I have a fondness for Dobies.
