I am aware of the truth behind Taboo's jinxed status, but the mental image of MS Paint getting messed up while trying to work on a pic of the little guy was too interesting to pass up. I couldn't do as much as I hoped, but hey, it looks alright as it stands. And better that the icons get dropped than an air conditioner from God knows where through my roof.Perhaps fittingly, MS Paint actually froze and shut down in (Not Responding) fashion three times as I worked on this pic. I'd usually be annoyed, but given the art subject, I couldn't help but be somewhat amused.

Taboo and meta jokes, two of my favorite things!Β Reminds me of the time I tried to upload "Taboo" onto YouTube. My charger melted so I had to wait until I got a new one before I could add it. Might've also had to do with the fact that I tried to upload it on Friday the 13th (since, you know, Taboo).
Kinda funny that he's renamed "Lucky", considering that he's voiced by Pamela Adlon.

Yeah. It was an idea I couldn't resist trying out in MS Paint form. Although I wasn't able to get as meta as I'd hoped. Like how I was hoping I could catch one of the (Not Responding) shutdowns on Paint, but the PRTSC wouldn't work. And such unfortunate timing you had there.

The Pound Puppies traverse a scary alleyway where they come across a bunch of mangy cats that demand they give them fresh tuna for safe passage, or else they will be cursed. When the PPs refuse, the cats give them Taboo, who seems to draw bad luck to him wherever he goes (such as the air conditioning unit that smashes right next to him shortly after he's introduced). Lucky, being the determined skeptic, tries to prove this as folly...but seems to just be tripped up by more bad luck.
Fortunately, it turns out that Taboo isn't cursed or jinxed. Merely a victim of those asshole cats so as to coerce those they "curse" into giving them fresh tuna so they can "free them from Taboo".

Indeed. Taboo had a really bad day that drove him to run away from his siblings and they took advantage of it. It'd be Fridge Horror if it wasn't for the episode establishing that it's only been at most a month or so of this treatment.
Just think if it was longer.

Rest assured, once the Pound Puppies uncovered the truth, they put an end to their abuse. And Taboo found his perfect person, an accident-prone high school teacher who considered him good luck. Thus, Taboo was renamed "Lucky". (But given there's already the main character with the name "Lucky", I just refer to the character by his old name for clarity.)
