Description
...they tried hard. they really did, she could see that. they'd chosen a spot with no electrical (and therefore, digital) interference, and had even adopted one of those poor imagins, just to show they really cared.but somehow.. real revolutionaries didn't act this way. they didn't form little societies and clubs and act like a family. the real moving was done by people who not only knew what they wanted but also how to get it. whereas..
cyrus, with his handwritten code and vague idealism, thought it took just one little fish to defeat the whole sewer system. but sophie knew better. she'd seen the secret agents of the empire track down her little brother and kill him, kill him dead. and all she had left was his eye - an eye that was blind, now.
what could they say to that? what could they say to ten years of searching for the other half so she could perform the operation on herself, dive into the system, and then they would know how much she could really do.
a sad bunch, indeed. but for now she would play along with this little facade. the rich businessman's son, the twins sharing moments that she would never have, the drug-addled genius who couldn't tell left from right but could sure as hell give you a mathematical equation to solve the secrets of the world, sophie needed them. they were her leeches for a wound that wouldn't heal.
her mother was right. she'd always been a good actor. pity she didn't remember her own daughter anymore.
Took 20+ hours.

Great storyline, great drawing. The faces need some work, but that's my only complaint.

WHAT?! I work a lot on my faces.. perhaps it's the weird angles I have them in as opposed to just a straight "looking-at-you" perspective.

Yeah, I haven't really seen much art from that perspective. Most artists just have the subject facing the "camera" as to make it simpler to draw. What did you use for reference, BTW?

Yeah.. I'm too lazy to find/use them, and most of the people I draw are easy enough to not use one.

So, you don't do preliminary sketches or anything?

Of course I do sketches, I just draw it from my imagination instead of looking at the picture.

Yes it is, and you learn more about your own drawing. Also ref pictures can be sometimes wrong so you can end up sucking right @ the start.

I was just going to sketch stuff, by myself. If I actually get to a stage where I'd like help and such (which is unlikely), then I have teh interwebs and teh library. Why do you ask?

Eh, I was just wondering. I have no doubt that I'll be better if I had a teacher, but in return I'd lose some of my enthusiasm (less self-reliance) and the right to boast that I was self-taught..XD but if you decide to take an art class in HS, just remember that it's likely that no one is going to take it seriously.

you might think that people in art class are just as passionate about it as you are (at least, I did). nope. apparently, some of them took it for the credit, and they don't really care.

I'm nowhere near as enthusiastic about art as you are, Saffy. Of course, I don't take anything in school seriously. Though, today, I met this socialite kid, and I want to see how smart he is. See if I can get him to talk politics, and then see if I can rip him apart.
Figuratively, of course.

Nah, I just act superior. I also have a distinct lack of casual social skills. I FAIL at small talk. [link]
I have no self confidence, and I seem to pick up some sort of speech impediment when I'm trying to speak pompously to strangers. But I have no worse problems then your average loser. Oh, did I mention my over-abundance of self pity?

I've had SO many mental problems, believe me. Like you, I (and this is the important part) think have no self-confidence. To make up for this, I tried to be good at everything. I've also diagnosed myself with Avoidant Personality Disorder and maybe Schizoid. But the best thing about them is that you can get better, even if you have to face your fears or do something you'll normally think impossible.
Whatever it is, just try to relinquish those fears, and think of yourself as an individual that nobody else can replace. Don't forget that the best way to get better is to recognize you have a problem (whatever it might be), be receptive to people who really care for you and and are trying to make you better, and never, ever lose the ability to love.
