However, even with her somewhat seemingly strong character. She is in fact quite fragile and mostly act this way as a manner of protecting herself emotionally. She is rather anxious and feels alien in most social situations. Guess that is why she rather hangs with her pokémon than a person.

History

Émile was born in the region Sinnoh, in a small and quiet town known as Floaroma. She has two amazing parents. A father and a mother who both adore and care for their child greatly. So you can say for certain she had a good upbringing.
When Émile turned 5 her parents decided upon a spontaneous act to move someplace different. A region known as Etryae! They wanted new grounds for their child's upbringing but also some adventuring never hurt anybody, right? They moved into the hubble town known as Grasdale. Farmlands and fresh air, sounds like a good new start in life does it not?. Here Émile would spend most of her time camping and exploring the fields with her parents. She guesses it were somewhere around this period she grew so greatly found of the stars and planets that she could see throughout the nights. And the fact her father told her horoscopes and other astrology related matters which both inspired and amazed her.
“It’s almost like magic!” She would shine at her father. And he would just laugh and agree.
But things did not stay like this forever however. As her father decided to go for a great world journey once Émile had turned 13. Suddenly life became a little more lonely. And Émile who otherwise were quite shy had just gotten such a great distance from what she saw as one of her best friends. Slowly she found herself getting shyer and more distant towards people. Her way of grieving from her father being overseas. Looking after her father's pokémons did help however. But only oh so slightly...
However, slowly life got better. Everyday her father would update her. Be it a call or a text but he made sure to stay in touch and be supportive. She also grew even founder of astrology around this time which helped her greatly during her depressed times. Plus he DID come home at least once every second month or so. Then he would tell about his great adventures and Émile and her mother could not help but to feel amazed by the man.
“Wooow, dad is amazing!”
“Haha~ I could not agree with you more my dear~” her mother would laugh.
Émile grew to admire her father greatly. And soon enough accepted his long distances. In fact she rooted for him and wished for a great adventure of her own one day. And so her plans slowly started growing.
Close to her 20th birthday Émile had made up her mind. She was going to get her own place and start a life of her own. Even move away from the town her mother lived in (but not too far away… Got to take small steps right!). She found herself now living in ‘Ivywood‘ and boy were she excited but frightened at the same time. Her new life were filling with duties. But it was not enough to keep her heart at bay. She once again felt lonely even though she had her trusted pen pals. And this is when she made another decision. She were going to get her own pokémon! As she had always just looked after her father's and never had one of her own. She were going to raise them from such an early stage as egg form. And that is how she and Chimes got to be an inseparable team! Now she enjoys her days to the fullest in her new town as every day something new happens. New places to explore and new people to meet!

Upon moving to Ivywood it did not take long until her best friend ‘Valery Beckett‘ moved into her OVERLY BIG APARTMENT! 2 bedrooms were now filled and only one left to go~

He will head in with a chiming jingle of ‘I got your back!’. He is just as loud and annoying as his trainer… Even though some might find his bouncing jingles charming.
