Yes, I might be quoting Taylor Swift. Yes, this piece might be in response to unscrupulous "artists" attempting to appropriate my original artwork for their own. As artists we react to our surroundings. We react doubly to those attempting to swipe the essence that makes us unique. This painting is a direct reaction to these issues. Your work is fantastic. This reminds me of the old velvet painting done back in the 1960's. I think they will make a come back at some point and time. The artist would use black velvet and paint loud colors that seem to pop off of the black velvet. This would be great done on top of velvet.
