I think it (for me) is because death is kind of cool (cold) but at the same time it isn't aggressive, in itself. The methods of can be but death comes to everything no matter what really, indiscriminately. It's much easier for me to picture almost a mother figure who cares but doesn't at the same time... it's confusing but the attitude is more feminine feeling to me
