I tried to keep my colours as close to the original characters colour scheme as I could. I really liked how it came out! She's really cute!
Took me a while to work out how to do a couple of things. In the end I'm really pleased with how it worked - in particular adding the checker pattern for the plaid section on the front of the skirt.
Hope you like it!

I downloaded some backgrounds from Google but I'm confused.I'm not so sure how to use it.
Could you please tell me how you used the background.

all I did was coloured my picture using photoshop, I use layers - and then I just paste the backgrounds in behind the character.. I can then adjust colours or the size of the background to make it fit better. Once I have a backround in, I sometimes mess with adding shadows, or cutting pieces of the background and duplicating above the character so that I can have things like blades of grass or whatever in front of a characters feet or something.

Actually I'm not sure. I did a google search for 'free backgrounds' and this was one that came up.
If someone DOES see that I've used a background or something of theirs and they don't want it used (or they just want me to credit them in the description) I'd be more than happy to comply. I don't want to use other peoples things without permission.
That being said, any background I've used has come from a search for 'free backgrounds' where the description with the image states that the image could be used freely on whatever site I got it from.
