Heyas! I made this Tutorial since was so hopeful~ Crystalofchaos was lamenting that no one had taken the time to do one, so I volunteered for the visibly not-so-monumentous task of making a tutorial for "How to Draw Boob-less Irkens".What I thought was going to be a very difficult task only came down to 3 simple, basic steps which I take when drawing.
Of course, I'm sure it's not as fabulous as many would be expecting, but I tried! In all reality, drawing females WITH breasts is much harder than drawing them without! At least, in my book~! Sos I had a hard time finding much to tutor anyone about. But I hope I did help~!

Nah, I'm of the opinion that they don't need them, so making them unnecessarily buxom seems odd. Plus, it's not canon. They have curly antenna and eyelashes -isn't that enough femininity to go with?

Perhaps the Irkens at ONE POINT were somewhat like humans. Jhonen never specified it himself though, so he gives us PLENTY of room to work our theories into things here.

I don't think it's shown; but I believe it's implied that their thumbs are removed before they become the Tallest. I only heard the actors and Jhonen joking about it in the commentary on the DVDs, though...so that's all I know.

Ah, I see~! (I could! Just set the controller somewhere it won't move around and play with your other fingers! It's difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it works!)

I can't help myself if I -USED- to draw my OCs with irkem boobs,and I somehow really hated that :/
...Irkens don't really need boobs anyways..

I hate it when people draw Irkens with boobs... The only reason mine has them is cuz she's only half Irken.

I like how you made this tutorial because every time I see a female Irken with boobs I just would skip over it without saying anything because I don't see the point of placing a human trait on a alien basically sexless and can't have kids. The boobs are just there and if it was for making them attractive, they still would look good. I didn't place muscles or a huge package on my oc and he still attracts large crowds of fangirls *shudders*
The same is for the females too, you saved half the Irken anatomy by making this

Thanks~! Yeah, I know, I've read Sci-Fi novels ever since I was a kid (I was a good reader) and our family watched Star Trek TNG every time it was on... The fact that there were HUMAN-LOOKING ALIENS eventually began to annoy me, along with the whole "aliens attacking" thing. I mean, seriously...WHY WOULD THEY CARE?!?
Anyways, most of my OCs won't have human-like traits, except for Shyla and her friends, since they're not in MY IZ universe, they're actually part of another person's.

That makes sense if it's in another universe and I've noticed humans traits in a lot of older movies too. It was just so overused that the first ever sci-fi movie that I saw that didn't have human traits was the movie alien along with when mars attacks and I was scared senseless but it was something different and I was a little kid.
The whole thing with every single alien attacking was also a little overused too because their weren't really that many friendly aliens. Oh well good job!

I couldn't have said it better! Artistic liberties are fine and dandy but sometimes a character doesn't need mammalian features to make their gender distinguishable.

I enjoy drawing breasts on irkens since it's just for a guilty pleasure of mine but this is certainly a helpful tutorial for anyone who would like to make boobless irkens and still keep them feminine looking. It's a good style and it's a very helpful tutorial!
